Sampire + Spell Focusing Sash

Can anyone think of anything wrong with a Sampire (swords, bush, tac, anat, nec, chiv, ninja) using the Spell Focusing Sash for the DCI bonus? Anything wacky I might encounter, like elemental weapons being counted as spell damage, or some sort of bush/weapon specials being counted as spell damage. I'm thinking of ditching my quiver for the Ranger aug cloak Kinetic eater and SSI. And I would add the sash to replace the lost DCI.

Also how many of you have applied focusing gems to your boss killer weapons? I'm considering it... wanted to know what you all thought.

The sash does affect any hit spell damage you might have, hit spell for sure, and I think hit area. It might affect some specials that are considered "magic" damage, I don't have a list of them although in the thread about the mystic changes someone posted which specials are considered magic damage. Other than that I see nothing wrong with it, I use it for the dci so to have the ranger cloak as well.

I would suggest not adding the focus gem to any of your good weapons. My damage went down after applying it to a much favored soul glaive.

I notice this too I was wondering if it was just me so I know the gems pretty much worthless

I think the average damage after adding the gem was similar to prior but the odd time a critical hit seems to be in the correct order and is far above normal ranges.

I have heard that adding the gem changes elemental damages though I have not confirmed this. I was planning upon adding one to a 100% cold damage weapon but this will not be the case till I confirm.

Wearing the sash has seemed to have no change to the sampires I have that use it.

yeah im using sash on my samp now for the mana and dci bonuses, so far i havent noticed any odd quirks

also added the focus gem to my demon slayer hatchet i use on the bane guards.. so far nothing seems out of whack though i haven't parsed data or anything
