Sad news...

Hi Siegers - I realize that most of you probably don't remember me or my guild, but I know there are a few around that do and there are likely a few former TnT/TnA members that stumble back here once in a while to see whats up.

I received some upsetting news from one of our older TnT members that we have lost a guild mate. It is with a heavy heart that I am here to let you all know that Robert, AKA Jackhammer and The Rebel passed away a couple of weeks ago. He suffered a massive heart attack while on the job.

Robert/Jackhammer was a wonderful guild mate. He was always laughing, cracking jokes and beyond generous! The guy would give you the shirt off his back. As his guild leader, he kept me co-owned to his houses, so that if anyone needed any supplies or ingredients, etc, I could just go in and get them. He trusted a few other guild.mates with the same privileges. Leaf/Izzy and Sal Manila were some of his closest friends and I can still hear Jack referring to Sal as A$$bag each time he logged into vent. Jacks generosity and his off-color humor were some of my favorite things about him. He was a long time TnT/TnA member, one of those core members that was always loyal and would be with us until the end. I am so sad that he is gone.

Robert was 48 years old and leaves behind his wife Lisa, a son and a young daughter. My heart aches for them and they are in my prayers. Life is short, live your dream. Our friend and guild mate did just that.

Always sad to see news of a gamer leaving our world forever, I knew several TnT members years ago, back before my break with UO. Our prayers are with those he leaves behind, may they quickly move on and not dwell on the pain of the loss of him. God bless them all, RIP Robert/Jackhammer.

I just talked to him on the phone a couple of months ago, I cannot believe this, he had just started his own business and was happy as can be, which makes it even more sad. We actually were making plans to meet when Kaisa and I goto Detroit next month. I am deeply saddened by this news.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words and condolences for Robert's family and friends. Also want to give a heads up that if you see his characters pop up, those accounts belong to his son now. He played for a little while here on Siege and still does, a little I think, but mainly plays on another shard.

I have to say that I really struggled with sharing this news on such a public forum, but I knew old TnT/TnA members and alliance members would want to know and our old guild forums are long gone! It surely warms my heart to see how many lives Robert touched in this little world we call Siege Perilous. He really was a joy to know. Dammit, I miss that guy! Most of us from TnT have stopped playing UO and we may not see or talk to each other regularly, but I can honestly say that the world just isn't the same knowing he is no longer here.

I really hope that I have or can live my life in such a way that my presence is missed by those who may or may not have kept in touch and maybe even by some I have never had the privilege of meeting.

You are already missed. You have innate leadership skills that made everyone enjoy this game. Kaisa and I both miss you!

I don't know if anyone remembers Jack and Sal's yard sales in Illshenar, but That is the most I have ever laughed in this game. Just sharing good memory I have.

Playing with you guys, both my guild and yours, was some of the most fun I ever had in game. It was an honor to lead my crew and the alliance we had with ARRR/YARR was the the best alliance ever! I was never a fan of alliances, but ours worked out beautifully and those times are some of my best memories.

It was a joy and an honor to play with you all!

You need to tell the Ilshenar Yardsale stories. That really was hilarious!

I loved jACK...I left him all my UO possessions when I left....I have awesome memories of him and I can still hear his voice on TS. Many nights together......that said...miss you too Kat!

Jacks hours play times were sort of odd. He logged in early morning around 3 or 4 am for about an hour and then played from like 4 PM to about 7 PM, which was his bedtime. His work hours were brutal! He mostly played early weekend mornings until about noon, too.

Idico, You know, I had forgotten that you'd given Jack all your stuff. I remember him trying like heck to help you place that house at Yew Gate when that house placement timer gave you all so much trouble. He felt so bad for you. We all did, really. In any case, he was a big fan of yours, too, and when you left he was none too happy about it, as were we. It was such a pleasure playing with you silly vampires! lol Miss you! Hope you're doing well.
