Sacarii down (Crimson Down too), anyone else? (Lots of Pics)

4 of us took down Sacarii earlier and we've been farming it for a bit trying to get gossamer (painful). Has anyone else killed it? (I believe the quest is bugged in trammel and impossible to complete)

Crimson Dragon down in East Brit, there was Myself, Point and Click, Baked Beans and Jado. Kizukai randomly came and started healing us too. The loot was fairly disappointing with it being peerless quality, no special items. I must say I am very impressed with the special effects of it though.

A shot of us in action:

Low HP:

As it died it paralyzed us all and became invulnerable, froze us all... Heres when we were frozen:

And the corpse:

Crimson took us about 15 minutes, however we were all on dexxers so it was much more difficult, I imagine if we were on Archers it would take us about 5. Sicarri took around 5 minutes, it was pretty easy... just painfully annoying.

Yea we had 3 mages mainly healing and casting mindblast, which was the spell that done the most damage to him. the worst part of it was his 1hitters that he done to the mages...

Havent took on Sicarri yet.

So am I right to assume NOBODY else on this shard has killed Sacarii?

Well, not me! I got stuck in Khaldun, then ran out of time to play =P Am hoping that this weekend (which for me is Mon-Tue this week)I might be able to find a way to get more done =/ Have managed to get into Magincia and do some of that in my spare minutes though =)

*edits* With the invasion being all over the place this weekend, does that mean Crimson Dragons in all those same cities? I kinda ran around Mag after I died, but couldnt see one at all - may not have run to the right places =)

The invasion is only in a maximum of 3 locations, I believe at the moment it is in Britain, Maginica and Yew. However I believe there was also a dragon at Skara, and the dragon was activated at Mag.

Oh, I thought it was in all cities for the weekend?

I did get to see the dragon last night in Magincia (wow they're pretty!) I was stealthing around the town to free souls, and it walked by me - froze me even though I was stealthed, didn't attack, I just couldn't move =)

I did throw an EV after it once I could move again, it ate that so fast I think it was gone before I blinked! LOL!

Yep, they said they were going to 'push' the invasion into all cities over the weekend, then it will revert to being controlled by the factions, with a max of 3 towns invaded at a time.

Are all the towns going to be invaded all weekend long or are they going to be coming and going with a max of 3 towns invading at any given time?
This initial push activated every town. From here on out it'll be a max of three at a time.

Nah - Sicarii has been down heaps of times. PoC and some ringins took Sicarii down a number of times last night and I'm sure she's been down plenty before that. To be honest I found getting to Sicarii more trouble than fighting her. The web attack thing is cool though but you live through 9 times out of 10.

We also took down a Crimson Dragon in Trinsic yesterday. That was a royal pain and the loot was crap. It took us about an hour but we initially only had about 4 people, mostly dexers.

Sorry no pics but I forgot to take any. Maybe someone that was there can post some...

Khuldun (gateway to Sicarii) is in Trammel for the Halloween event, and the Crimson was just "there" in Trinsic Trammel.

I'm not sure what the mechanics are for how towns become war zones with the faction side of things but what happens in faction towns affects their Trammel counterparts in this event.

Last time I checked trammel was bugged.
Maybe. The few people I've met who said the same thing found they had not completed one of the required steps. Most commonly they didn't use the word on the book because the Dark Knight was already there because they went as a group and someone had already said it to make him appear.

From what people have told me you can't even get to the blood pool in trammel. The whole thing is blocked off.

I can't figure out how to get past the entrance areas - is there a trick to it, or is this the "bugged" bit?

I'm guessing there's some left-over EM stuff in Tram/Kaldun. I haven't checked other shards to compare. Maybe someone else could comment?

To do it in Tram you need a couple of tricks, but it can be done.

First get the seven murals from the west entrance (furthermost from the minoc mines entrance to t2a). There's a big black thing in front of one of the murals, but you can still target it if you target the wall just off the right hand side of the black thing. There's a couple more murals in a walled off area, but there's no range checking so just get as close as you can and target the mural --- it still works.

Second leave Kaldun and go in the other entrance and get the two murals there. You don't have to go into the secret inner area, just copy the mural through the wall.

Then you have to teleport (dexxers bring a teleport scroll) over 'invisible walls' to get to the pool of blood. There's one wall just by the east entrance, and another one in the middle of a hallway halfway to the back.

Leave Kaldun again and go to the house in Jeholm, then come back and teleport over the walls again, stand on the abitor and teleport to the spider boss.

So you can do it all in Trammel, although this will be a big disappointment for the SSO boys camping the Fel one. You should still go there and let them kill you a bit otherwise they'll be upset that I posted this.

By the way Rons, I'm not married and don't play UO with my wife/husband. You just saw me running two accounts the other day. Funny that you've been hassling me about something totally wrong.

And PoC did all that to kill Sacarii? So much effort. I suppose the rons are happy with there two small spider webs, worth tonnes... and our 100+ large spider webs.

Well I got my large spider web spinaret, but I'm still trying to get enough gossamer to turn it into a deed. I've not heard anyone getting the small web deeds but they are supposed to be rare so who knows.

Only tricks I found in Trammel:

Yes you need to teleport at the first entrance to get past the invisible wall. The second invisible wall can be simply walked through by sticking against the western wall. Many, many bodies here...

As for the murals, as indicated, you can do them all without having to get into the rooms. Just target them from outside and all is well (beware the one "hidden" behing a stone face - it's easy to miss). The biggest issue if you are alone is being mobbed by all the life draining shadow fiends. They will take you down in no time without even touching you and of course once your dead no resurrect so it can be a real pain...

Hrmm, well, if I can't do it stealthing all the way through, I'm going ot have to find a kind soul with a much faster connection than me to res me at the blood pool, and again in the other room, cos there's no way I can get through there alive =)

Naturally, stubborn as I am, I WILL keep trying til they take it away ;)

You can't res in Khuldun. Getting the book from the murals is however fairly safe and it is blessed once you have it. You just have to run to the pool, invis, dye the book and move to the next phase. If you die, get out, rez and try again.

Woot! I've made it to Sicarii!

Of course, I can't kill her, but I MADE it here =D (several times actually, cos I kept dying to her then having to get back again =P)

If I stay hidden and time/log out, when I log back in will I still be there and hidden? Guess I'll find out soon enough! Hopefully I'll be able to find more people there at some point =D
