How many of you actually believe it will see the light of day and have shelf presence in video game stores?

I believe it will eventually be released. Possibly in stores likely as an online deal like ML was though.
I would say it may make a store shelf because of the major changes the game is going through losing the 3d client and adding a new one.
However if EA decides to follow through with a more direct online trend for distributing the game for obvious reasons such as cost of manufacturing and shipping to stores with gas prices going higher all the time then you will see no discs sold through retailers.
Personally if grabbing it online and burning my own copy of the disc means less cost to me and more profit for the company while cutting out as much money going into the pockets of the greedy who drove up gas prices as possible I would be happy. The only down side is that this hurts those with jobs in manufacturing and retail.

My guess is we will never see it. I believe the decision was made to trash it long ago when they removed Mr. Cohen from UO. Just like George Orwell's novel "1984" they are pretending SA is something that never existed. They don't talk about it AT ALL and removed any mention of it from the web site. They realized it won't draw new players and the fanbase here (except the 2%-5%that actually play KR) don't like it.

It will come out; but not in the form they originally intended; it will be a small expansion and will be Classic Client friendly. Perhaps they will have it ready for the next anv. I doubt they would waste shelf space and will let it be a digital sale.

Yea i dont think it will come out as planned either. With the popularity of UO dropping fast, resources being diverted to bigger mmorpgs, staff leaving and condensing, we have enough trouble having KR worked on, much less the new expansion.
Just think how long ago KR was being toted, and now much work they do on it now. Not much. It doesn't take this long to do an expansion, except when you have very limited staff/resources working on it. Which we do.

I believe they will release it but i figure you wont see a shelf presence.I figure they will mostly make in downloadable but thats about it.Maybe be order the cd if ya pay extra.Altho i hate to see this as i play dialup ONLY THING AVAILABLE TO ME.The downloading of a new exspansion wont be possiable as such i wont be upgrading.

Yes, you will see SA, and you will see a shelf presence. Why do you think they're going through all the bug fixes? They're getting everything ready for a major promo. 2D and KR will both be better than they have been for years, and they're going to use SA to bring players back to UO.

On the contrary, if you could see and smell the amount of right and left brain molecules burning between developers here, you might wonder how we could stand to work among the palpable sulfuric fumes. We have some great plans in the coming months. There are three major story arcs in the works culminating in what I can only describe for legal and marketing reasons as an “Epic Event” coming this Spring …

I don't care if we ever see it, if it isn't available to 2D users. Even then, I am still not very excited about it.
