SA Volcano

So with 24 hours left till the release of SA i'm sort of wondering something.

Is the volcano gonna erupt with an EM event/ Mythic event or is it gonna be like New Haven and just appear overnight?

Also what's in place to stop people lining boats across the only entrance to the Human/elf side of the Abyss on Fire Isle, thus stopping anyone actually getting to the entrance?

The volcano is already there! I can see it next to our house.

I had actually thought we would break the new gem of immortality in the event tonight and that would start earthquakes etc. climaxing int the volcano erupting.

I dunno what will happen now.

Well, the volcano requires a client patch, so it can't just appear during an EM event...
Sometimes a little suspension of disbelief is necessary

I bet we'll see a story on UOHerald during the downtime for the expansion publish about Dawn destroying the Gem of Immortality and triggering the eruption.

Oh and if I were you I wouldn't park the boat in the area. If you place it in the wrong spot it might end up overwritten by the volcano and deleted...

Well we allready had a 330mb patch the other day so the eruption could allready be in waiting the 'go' switch.

After all the build up and events leading up to it. If its done during a downtime then thats just lame.

As for the boat, yeah i'm sat on land waiting but what i mean is after the volcano theirs 1 bit of coastline to park your boat at and thats the only way to get access to the Abyss. What happens when its full of parked boats. I know i for one will park mine their as its an easy recall point when i die in the abyss and i dont have to make the long laggy voyage back again.

I'd have loved to see all the shards go down after the final event ended and have just the volcano with a sealed Abyss gate patched in with a short herald story about the various famous people attempting to break it open.
