SA Purchase Question.

I waited untill after the release of SA to buy the upgrade. The question I have is, If I only have 6 char slots and I purchase SA now, can I change one of my chars to a Gargoyle? Without the promo token? Do I have to purchase the 7th slot upgrade now? Whats the best route for me to take? I'd like to change one of my current chars into a Gargoyle if possible.
Any help is appreciated.

If you use the same upgrade code in the help/promotion code box once you are logged in you will get three tokens to change three chars into Gars, no need to buy a 7th char code.
