SA: Human/Elf -> Gargoyle?

Sorry if this has been hashed before, I havent been around much lately...

Are they allowing players to change existing characters into Gargoyles?

I just wonder as I just added the extra character slot code and had been working a new template... Should I delete and leave it open for the Stygian Abyss expansion?

A resounding definite maybe...

I do hope there is a quest, I have a full pallet of characters and no space to add a gargoyle without deleting a toon with state and powerscrolls added to it.

Yeah this is my issue as well... Do I buy stat/power scrolls for my new character or not? Hrmmm Guess I can just put her on hold for a while and see. Thanks for the reply

I hope so too but if not I'm only going to need 2 scrolls. Smithing and Tailoring. And I've got BODs to get both, I've got enough soul stones to swap off an entire toon so I can use a Gargoyle for all my crafting needs.....

All I have to say is that A Lot of 115s have gotten very very high latly. I think people are awaiting UO/SA to come out and start selling 120s. I see no 120s on the vendors right now.

People know that is you have worked a char up to 120 and can't get a scroll to move the full 120 over you have 2 choices.

1) Buy a new one to move the full 120 over or lose the points over the scroll you have now.

2) buy a scroll later as you again work up the skill from ground Zero. (Still buy a scroll)

Right now I see 115s going for 10 mill for some skills. No 120s at all.

Myself I hope it is a quest and let them Eat those scrolls.

But that is only my feeling on the matter. Before a 105 and 110 was useless and many turned in or given away. I think the new content is going to be more important than getting scrolls. Those that have will have. Those that have not will be at a disadvantage for a very long time.

People will be working the new race that have the scrolls for the new char slot.They have a scroll they need not do anything but work the new skills and move the ones they want with a stone.

People keep saying they want things to be balanced. I think the balance should be a reasonable quest. More like the one from elf to human. I think that would help level the playing field.

Too hard and the haves will still have the edge.

I am just one that has been in UO for a Very Very long time.

I still think that not selling regs was a mistake that put too much gold into the game. Then on top of that they made them harder to get by selling them start at a slow rate.

I also think the price should always be the same. Buy it one place or not it is the same.

Leave a margin for those that work hard to make them.

From the Chicago townhall: "Probably, but there won't likely be a storyline or quest attached to the process a la human-to-elf because the team could not think of a storyline that didn't sound completely stupid. It will likely be something you “purchase” at an NPC shop or something along those lines."

I've suggested that lore that the gem of immortality story be expanded to cover not just lands (as you may know, different lands are the world seen through different facets of a shard of the legendary gem), but also skills (soulstones would be said to be shaved from faces of a gem that reflects different professions in its facets) and races (facets of stone which shows different racial paths a soul could take - a soulstone-like item could be found/constructed that would allow a change of species).

They should ask the fans for ideas when they are stumped like that!

As for the earlier poster, I'm into conspiracy theories, but I don't buy the Ps hoarding... Plenty of 120's on my shard.

I would rather that seeking and adding the skills of the great gargoyle race transform you into the beasts form and likeness. Not the other way around. Then set the amout of skill needed to change you into one just below the amount that you can buy from an NPC in the Gargoyle City.

Maybe buy it from a body sculpter there. I mean we have them for an elf.
