SA Client not running on Vista 64 after patch

i downloaded the betaclient 2 days ago. installed it and patched it. after that it started and it showed me the login screen. but i not logged in.
tonight i wanted to test it. so i started it and it downloaded another patch (i think the last one announced on herald for sa-content) after patch was complete i clickt play and after 2-3 seconds loading the titelscreen (not login) pops up but after 1 sek the application is closed without errormessage.
i also tryed starting without patcher by directly calling the UOSA.exe with the options: start as admin & Windows XP Servicepack2 Kompatibility mode. but same problem. the titlepicture popsup but then its closed. that looks like a bad start :(
anyone a idea what to try?

Sometimes when there are problems it might help to create a new user account in Windows. If you log in with that new user, you can test wether it actually is a problem with your windows/uo software or merely a bad user profile. (Try giving the new user admin priveleges... just for testing)

thx. i created a new acc wit admin privs. but didnt help either. i decidet now to take the 5hours on me to reinstall the stuff. perhaps you could send me a link. where did you get the 'Enhanced CLient' from. because the site were i loadet it down it was called betaclient
by the way its really clever that they announce that everyone can test sa-content now. but again dont have a simple link to where to download. they think: search and you'll find. once again i only can shake head about osi/mythic. most time all they announce only produces confusion. it was also of absolute need to now call the client enhanced client. noone asked about that in the forums so thats proof there is no confusion hehe(sarcasm)

NOW IT WORKS! i completely reinstalled it and now after again 3 hard hours of download and patching it runs. the only difference this time i also executed the setupfile with the option "run as administrator" but i not think that is nessesarcy. the funny thing is at the end there was a errormessage like couldnt download file BLABLA from updateserver try later. but the client works now. i only think something with the patching went wrong on first time.
Does someone know at what time GMT we might be able to enter a testshard wit SA content? because retribution and TC1 dosent show me the gargoyles on character creation menu.

but now next problem. i have the same prob like called in another thread nearly all texts are not readable. i only see xxx xxxxx xx *sigh*

thank you, Conner ~ there are many of those little shortcuts that just stump me

reason I asked about 'running as administrator' is that I've found that forgetting to do that will let the patcher run and it looks like all is well, you don't even get that 'your version may not... etc.', but you can then not log in

I have to open the client in Admin mode every time just in case there is a patch. If I dont mine will start to patch and seem everything is fine until it gets to where its installing the patch then it would error. I believe its a security feature to help prevent malicious software from installing its self.

I have the same problem as the OP after the patch, but I did run the patch as admin as well as the client. It opens - then closes after a few secs. The only option is now to download the whole thing again? gah
