SA Client: No user interface?

I just logged into the SA Client, saw the cool updates for the shard selection (although I can't imagine what use it would be now-a-days) and made it past character selection. The world came up. My character appeared. But absolutely no user interface popped up! No gumps. No paper doll. No "helpful hints". No toolbars. Not even the "you have veteran rewards" gump. Even hitting the hotkeys, like Esc, did nothing. Had to kill the app to get out.

I logged out and back in. No change.

Anyone else having this problem or have an idea what causes (and fixes) it? I'm currently downloading the 2D patch, but I'd honestly rather not play tonight than head back to 1998land.

If you're using the Copper_Enhanced UI, you will want to download the latest version from the Exchange (link in sig). If it's another UI, try deleting the Interface XML and LUA files in the base directory of the mod as follows:

Ultima Online Stygian Abyss\UserInterface\Modname\Interface.XML
Ultima Online Stygian Abyss\UserInterface\Modname\Interface.LUA
Ultima Online Stygian Abyss\UserInterface\Modname\Interfacecore.XML

That will bring the interface back.

There is also a preset toggle to turn the interface on and off... hit "Left-Control", "Left-Shift", and "A" all at the same time (unless you changed the defaults) to turn it back on.

You shouldn't have to think of that one. We finally get an update and it has screwed with my settings.. which, now thanks to individual "global" character settings means I have to rectify it 14 times.. is none of this tested in even the most basic way? Beta means yes, there will be ongoing issues, but a live beta assumes a certain level of "polish" before things are put out the door. Not seeing it.
