I run Vista 64bit on an Alienwear laptop and the new client works very well.
The 2d works as good as allways, the only snag is you get the initial 'UO is loading' little grey window that sticks and dont auto close. You have to close it using the 'Task manager window' or it will stay there untill you close the computer.
This can be removed it seems by messing with some settings but i dont trust altering any settings incase it messes up Vista which is a pita in the first place.
That's not good...Just don't try to use a boat with Win7...it blows up![]()
this is the only thing you need change to get rid of that little grey box, which is a minor thing unless you're thoroughly enjoying the aero theme effects

Control Panel->Personalization->Window Color and AppearanceWhere excately do I go to find this at? Not sure where to go to find appearance setting.
Actually I run UO:SA on top of W7:SA (Software Assurance). Its released to VL customers few days ago.I wonder if any one is running Windows 7 beta...

Thanks..or just right-click on your desktop and it's the last option in that box![]()
I run both Windows 7 RC 64 Bit and Windows 7 RC 32 Bit (two different computers) and all 3 Clients run Just fine them. KR is better resolution but crash's a lot more than the SA Client. 2D is 2D and runs if anything faster and more stable.I wonder if any one is running Windows 7 beta...
I am running the new client on my wife's MacBook Pro and it runs fine. Thanks all. The new client runs great on my current machine but it's an iMac and rebooting to bootcamp is annoying so I'm going back to a windowsbox for gaming.
Really? I haven't had an issue with it.Just don't try to use a boat with Win7...it blows up![]()
Yeah, I've always built my own machines (well, except the time Best Buy gave me an HP Pavillion for free).I run a scratch built machine that started with XP, upgraded to Vista 32 (clean install), ordered the Vista 64 upgrade disk for $10. I started with the 2D and KR client, and now run the SA client about 95% of the time, switching back to KR for some KRafting. And I gotta say, if you are going to upgrade or build from scratch then 64 bit Vista or Win 7 X64 is the way to go. The improvement in performance is night and day.
Yep thats what I do , but I have to boot back into OSX to do.....ummm...work...and stuff. I don't do that often.I am running the new client on my wife's MacBook Pro and it runs fine. Thanks all. The new client runs great on my current machine but it's an iMac and rebooting to bootcamp is annoying so I'm going back to a windowsbox for gaming.
Also, I have it set to boot directly into XP (not sure that's an option on the iMac).
