SA access quest : alternative ways ?

Since the Ranger of the Abyss quest can be done only once per day per character, for those players willing to have more quests per day this means having to bring other characters like the crafter (some not necessarily fighting abilities) or so down the Abyss.

Question is, do all 7 individual characters need to complete the SA access quest or is there now another alternate way for characters to enter the Abyss without having to complete that quest ?

Any character that wants to enter the Abyss needs to do 1 of the 2 access quests... Soulstones ftw.

Every character you want to have access to the Abyss must complete an access quest.
The access quest from the Ter Mur end is a lot easier, and I have accomplished it with my crafter.

One more question. In order to be granted access to SA, is it necessary to complete both the Egwexem & Naxatilor's Quests ?
I mean, only the Egwexem Quest is not enough ?

Bottom line is, the character seeking access to SA will have to be capable of offensive abilities to kill whatever the Quest requires ?

You don't need to kill anything to enter the Abyss. You also don't need to take either of those 2 NPC quests.

In the building furthest south from the Tomb Of Kings entrance there is a book about the principles, this is where all the answers for the quest are, so its handy to write it into notepad.

Then you need to get in the area above the Tomb Of Kings entrance, gargoyles can fly through the path, anyone else will need to run up the side and teleport down. You can buy Teleport scrolls at Mage NPC's in Brit for a few gp. When casting from a scroll you can cast 2 circles higher than your skill level. Or you could also have one of your other characters mark you a rune straight there.

Or does some NPC need to take notice I did something and turn a switch on for that character which will grant permanent access to SA ?

Basically yeah and from either end. Saying Unorus to the shrine starts the quest but the quest only involves answering the questions. Oh and I should probably mention that if you get a question wrong and fail the quest there is a timer on retaking it, I don't know how long the timer is, as I always copy out the book when I need it.

A related question. Do you have to say the words of power at the two fire pits each time you enter the abyss from the tomb of kings entrance, or only the first time?

Thanks Saunders. I completed the alternate quest to enter the Abyss and the only time I went in through the Tomb of Kings entrance, my friend was ahead of me by 10 sec or so and must have taken care of the wards before I caught up to him. Didn't think to ask him.

Honestly, just left side, Ord, is that's needed to drop the para field to get in. The flames on a 70's suit, if left up only does 1 to 2 points of damage if you don't say an ord on the right side to drop them. rolleyes:
