runic mallet & chisels help

Heya,

Can anyone advise whats the best way to farm runic mallet & chisel?

I'm looking for shadow, copper, bronze, valorite

Whats the best way to get these?

Residue Quest?
Essence Quest?
Relic Quest?

is there any difference in drop rate between these?

I did about 5k residue/ 5k enchanted and / 500 relics..not one mallet just bad luck?

It's a real grind... I usually do the residue method since as mentioned above its your cheapest route.. Load my packs up and my back pack and make a run.. I seem to get one mallet/chisel about every two runs. So like 1 every 4 or 5 thousand residue.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. I take it noone has tried to compare drop rates against essence on a larger scale? Like 10.000 residue vs. 10.000 essence?

Maybe I should hop on TC to test
