Rubble: Comprehensive Guide and Pricing

Detailed information on rubble is now being added to UOGuide, including pricing and total amounts available.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to how new Rubble is, it will take some time to figure out how much of this stuff exists and the value. We might as well get started.

To begin figuring how much this stuff is worth we should first know exactly how many there were to begin with. I have taken a run through Magencia on the Test Center which has not been destroyed at all. Here are some of the total items I noted.

Coconut Trees - 10
Date Palm - 4
O'hii - 24+ (too difficult to count quickly)
Small Display Case (East) - 5
Small Display Case (South) - 5
3 Tile Display Case - 1 (each tile)
Bench (East) - 9
Bench (South) - 5
Yucca - 1
Purple Table - 1
Loom Bench (East) - 3
Loom Bench (South) - 1
Fancy Dress - 1
Long Pants - 1
2 Piece Tapestry (East) - 1
2 Piece Tapestry (South) - 1
Earrings - 2
Silver Necklace - 2
Gold Necklace - 1
Gold Ring Necklace - 2
Beads - 1
Gold Bracelet - 1

Large Display Case (9 pieces)
Center - 6
South Side - 6
North Side - 6
East Side - 5
West Side - 5
Northwest Corner - 2
Northeast Corner - 2
Southwest Corner - 2
Southeast Corner - 2

Yew East Left - 25
Yew East Center - 45
Yew East Right - 25

Yew South Left - 17
Yew South Center - 30
Yew South Right - 17

Wood Bench East Left - 11
Wood Bench East Center - 9
Wood Bench East Right - 11

Wood Bench South Left - 7
Wood Bench South Center - 3
Wood Bench South Right - 7

Wodden Bench (Dark) East - 14
Wodden Bench (Dark) South - 6

Small Table - 9

Healer Beds East - 10

Wall Sconce South - 3
Wall Sconce East - 2

Metal Sign Hanger Small Curl South - 3
Metal Sign Hanger Small Curl East - 5
Wood Sign Hanger South - 1
Metal Sign Hanger Large Curl East - 1

Now you have to multiply these items by 2 for each facet and then by the total number of shards. But it does not end there. These items can be completely destroyed or spawn up to a dozen times. I have witnessed both occur and have extensive experience with rubble spawning. After all, several Felucca Atlantic buildings were demolished under my supervision.

For the moment, I am going to toss out a figure of 4 created for every 1 item. So if there are 10 Coconut Trees, multiply that by 4 for the additional spawn and then 2 for each facet. That means 80 total per shard.

There are other things to consider such as items never being exploded (a survey should be done right at the event conclusion to determine this). Also the discolored and black plants will probably be worth more since only one can spawn instead of multiples.

I personally witnessed a table get blown up and then the middle tile spawned more than 15 times.....

Also, I saw 1 Coconut Tree blow up at at least 8 spawn off it.

I believe you are wrong about the burnt plants, as I'm 99% sure I saw some spawning long after an explosion.

And the fact that sometimes objects pop that were not there before the explosion, although they had been in this area hours/days before and were already rubbleized/had disapeared.

Plus some objects get wiped out sometimes, never to be turned into rubble on that shard's facet (a.k.a the dearly missed broken vanity from europa fel).

Some items vanish and reappear a short time later after an explosion. It does not mean two colored versions had spawned. All new plants spawn unhued.

I'm fairly certain that charred plant rubble is only those parts that dislodged from an explosion, they always respawned at base colour afterwards in my experience.
I was personally responsible for the destruction of about half of Maginicia and never saw plants respawn charred, or catch fire once spawned.

I also saw some items totally destroyed and never spawn, though in some cases items that were deleted upon explosion did respawn. My O'fleur (sp?) flowers for example, one was blown up in the explosion, but respawned twice after.
Worst one for me was the lillies, the first explosion there dislodged 3 types, But only ever respawned 1 type.

I also noticed there was some discrepency in spawn sometimes, where an explosion would occur and suddenly 6 ferns would pop up in respawn, even though none had been dislodged or destroyed. Same was true for other basic things like broken walls.

I think a lot of the plant rubble is just set to respawn even if none of it is in the area, depending on what type of terrain the explosion occured on. The same is true for building rubble, specifically the very short broken wall pieces. So even now you can farm either plant or those short broken wall pieces over and over, just by picking what area you set a demon off in. I'd like to see more people try to explode demons in areas where cool stuff *was*, and try to see if they get respawns of good items that way. I got tent wall pieces that way after the tent on tram baja was all but gone (a couple pieces being scattered screens away).

Also, you can't just multiply one item by 4 and be done. I think what happens is when a demon explodes and dislodges an item it has a chance to respawn that item up to times four for that particular item. So you can explode one display case and four of them can pop up on the next respawn, and this can occur up to 8 times. So minimum of one up to 32 display cases could be created from this one explosion.

I would like to also note that EM deco items are not necessarily a perfect benchmark for rubbles. In my experience, generally people tend to pay bit more for items from global events. I am not sure why - Maybe it is so because they can relate to it more than to some random item from some random event on some random shard?

Also, I think this is like 3rd or 4th thread on trying to get a "comprehensive pricing list." Maybe, I will make it a sticky for a week to discourage even more new threads and actually get some content in here.

But have you seen an item spawn 32 times? The most I have seen is about 12 and I have seen a lot of rubble spawn. It may be possible but that does not mean it is likely. Also, if multiple types of rubble are set to spawn at the same time they seem to compete with each other. So if a display case is the only rubble to spawn, it can spawn up to 12 times. But if a Display Case and a full wall are set to spawn, it is about half and half.

The most I've personally seen is twelve obsidian (need obsidian, I'm yer gal). Twelve each from three closely bunched o'hii trees was pretty spectacular.

The same location has spawned equal amounts of the corner piece of crumbling sandstone rubble. If only it had been the date & coconut palms instead!

I got 17 of the same type of tent wall, it spawned 4 each time, and 7 ended up being stuck in the ground, I'm pretty sure I grabbed em all, so 24 there. And also, if you explode something and it just moves but doesn't turn into rubble or get destroyed it will still be set to spawn. I did that this morning with a display case. So you can get lucky and push around the item you want, grab some on the respawn, and still have it left to explode.

I don't think this is the case because I have seen items move around a lot and it didn't begin to spawn until it either disappeared or was unlocked.

[/ QUOTE ]Just for you, Sarsmi, and, well, okay, because there just happened to be a convenient Light Daemon, a guildmate & I did just this last night for the firepit area on Europa, Felucca facet.

Result - respawn of one of the tiny corner blood tiles and tagged "blood."

We moved it along with a couple/few more controlled explosions (three or four I believe) until the piece eventually went to rubble. Between us we collected six pieces, giving one to a curious passerby who'd not had any of the firepit set.
