My guildies and a lot of the RP'ers of our shard are trying to stand up what will be effectively known as the Order vs. Chaos RP PvP theme on the Catskills shard and I would like to know if there any RP'ers that would be interested in this concept.
First, I want to say that our guilds (those we've invited to join the theme) have yet to really talk about the details, so based on feedback the concept has been ever evolving, but I think we'll be in great shape real soon. This is a private, player-ran theme that has two alliances, so any interested guilds after the founding would have to apply to join.
CONCEPT
The concept is centered around two warring alliances; one Order, one Chaos. A guild chooses a sign to align with, clears their war lists, and joins the alliance --- those that cannot clear their lists, for whatever reason, can still align to a side and would just have to manually handle war declarations. There is a common set of ROE's for all guilds and also specific ROE's for the battles.
Guilds write storylines and battle plots and submit them through a special website; which members review, give feedback on, and collaborate together. All stories must be able to be executed with little to no EM involvement, so that we're not bogging down the EM's.
Battles can be anything that your creativity allows; seiges of cities, rescue missions, artifact finds, prisoner escorts, caravan swarms, etc. etc. Member guilds would converge into a pre-determined area (city, dungeon, swamp, island, whatever) at a pre-determined time, and bring on the old school GUILD WARS. We would declare for either a set amount of time, # of casualities, or anything we stipulate in the battle's ROE's.
