When True Night Falls: The Massacre

The Freeborn Press has confirmed reports of a massacre last night in the streets of Britain. A mob of malevolent thugs and frenzied sadists descended upon last nights fundraiser - armed with crude knives and blunt instruments - and began to hack at those participating in the outdoor gala.

Guards describe them as having fought as though possessed. The men and women foamed at the mouth and descended upon the fallen with cannibalistic hunger. Weapons seemed to be of little use as the demoniacs continued to thrash about even after the loss of a limb.

Several Scouts and more than one Guardsman was injured in the melee before the mob turned and fled ...dragging corpses with them into the night.

It is unclear if there is a connection between the mob and the Bane Chosen. Or the murders that seem to have become more common in the Capitol. Citizens are warned to remain vigilant. Doors and Windows are to be barred during Full Night. Travellers are warned to remove their hoods when entering the township.

The Girl Scouts had a very rough night of it. Not only were they under attack by crazed people they were also being attacked by strange flurry and mistral(SP?) vortexes, the likes I've never seen or heard of before.
The Girls were paralyzed by terror and pain, clawed, bitten, their hair was pulled out and stabbed repeatedly by their own townsfolk. It was some strange magic at work here.

We managed to finally gather up the scouts and get them up to the top of the guard shack where they were in relative safety. Many good citizens stood guard to protect as best they could and to tend to their wounds of the flesh and the spirit.

By nights end all the girls were seen on their way to their homes. Corporal Brackus told me how later that night he saw Girl Scout Edith back in town. Apparently she had heard that some of the citizens hadn't gotten any humble pie and snuck out of her house so she could get them some. The good Corporal quickly ushered her to Ricardo the Pie Man and then escorted her home.

So yes, Britannia girls are strong of heart and mind and they will bounce back from all this I am sure. Specially with all the love and support they receive from their fellow man and woman.

Oh my, what kind of attackers would go after Girl Scouts? Is there something in those Thin Mints that drive sound men insane? Are the Snickerdoodles laced with some toxic brew that creates such zombies? Or is it the little green uniforms that induces some neuro-chemical creating such beastly behavior?

I am grateful the Empress of Zento has the minister of public health check the sake fountain on a daily basis, it would be a mad mad mad world were the cookies and sake to be spiked!
