I think my worth in UO is more than whats in my bank accounts or in my houses, so I dont see how this is a valid poll as to what someone is "worth" in UO.

Well I have recently re-activated my account after a 2 year break and had 2 mil on my account. I have purchased a 120 tailoring scroll and a 120 blacksmith scroll for 1.5mil so that leaves me with 500k across all my characters lol

I thnk he was talking about monetary value. Converting items and checks to gold totaling your balance sheet like in real life when people ask how much bill gates worth and he has a astronomital figure most of that figure is properties,stocks,etc.. converted into a liquidated value.

I know many that are flat broke in game - but their worth in UO is unmeasurable as upstanding members of the community.

I know others with billions in gold that aren't worth the time of day...

In Uo the prices of items variate too much. The gold value gets cheap when a new dupe is introduced so thats dangerous. Todays 100mil is yestaurdays 1mil so I get surprised when people have less than 50 mil in there account if converted everything they owned. Too me 50mil is equal 500k gold from 8 years ago or so. People can judge by the rate of the gold worth comparing it to the dollar worth of it at the moment.
It just surprise me to even see a couple votes in the less than 50 mil range unless they are accounts that just started this month.

I think the poll is a bit shortsided...can we get one that starts at 300 mil and works its way up?

well, depending on how you get your gold its very possible a lot of people have less than 50mil in their accounts... items and gold wise. I know soo many people who only get their gold from selling ingame items and looting everything they kill.
When you look at 95% of the brokers, gold still sells for $.99 a mil. Probably not as much as it use to be, but thats still expensive to buy and I know a lot of people who flat out refuse to buy gold from any source.
With the dropping price of arties, it hurts them even more.

That price 99 cents is already too much. If people really wanted to buy gold they could just get it from other players at 50 cents and below. Probably one of the ways the websites get the gold. Buy from player at .50 cents mil advertice at a 1dollar mill.
I don't know many people who actually buy gold. My circle knows how to make ingame gold pretty well and if they don't we teach them.

Though your right new introductions have droped the price on alot of things and it only hurts those trying to make it not those who made it already. People always want prices of items to drop but it makes no sence compared to the value of gold these days. It's like selling a 25 cents drink for 5 cents. The use of the item has droped but the gold value has droped as well.

It's getting worse someday anybody who has less than 100mil will never be able to make more legitimately because prices of things that used to be worth 10mil will only be able to be sold for 10k. We had a massive inflation all these years and now Dev are trying to force a overnight deflation. That doesn't sound to well.

The rich will remain rich the poor will remain poor and the middleclass wiped out. Hmm that sounds familiar I wonder if UO is taking tips from the government....

Wow, you guys are filthy rich.

On prodo shards (which I haven't played in 6 years) I'm worth about 30 mil maybe. On Siege, like 6 mil.

Kinda an open ended question there Trebr....

"Gold" is not a measure of worth.... in my opinion.

My "riches" are in my friends and my community not in gold.

Millions on prodo shard are just the middle class. Lower rich 2-10 billion regular rich 11bil-100bil, filthy rich above that

High middle class 1bil-2bil regular middle class 500mil-1bil lower middle class 100mil-500mil. High low income class 50mil-100mil, mid low income 10mil-50mil
lower low income 1mil-10mil. Anything less are the homeless.
That should be a good estimate of production wealth. This is net worth when adding in all the items, land value, gold value, resources, etc to there current worth.

Siege 6 mil is what 60-100 mil in prod? so it's prettty different.

Everything combined from Gold, Houses, Items. I have around 150-200 million on Siege...which isn't alot. So the conversion to prodo is about 1.5-2billion i would assume. ratio is 1x10 siege to prodo.

And I'm not one of the really really rich ones!

Looking at the poll again - I think I have 300 mil in items on my main character at all times - counting armor, spellbooks, etc... much less the house and other characters.

300mil is def too low to cap the poll at.

1-5 but this is on Siege.

Doubt I`ve ever had more than 100 mill at any given time on LS. Most times it was more like 25 to 50 mill.

Yo!

Haha, I've gotten every bit of my gold selling crap looting and other in game activities. Right now I have like 24 mil in actual gold but I have things that are worth gold.

Also I think I'm worth more than gold to the people who know me in game. Although I have been known to dump random crap from crafting refuse to a non luck conjurors robe. (just once though so far)

But, to people back in the day people were the best thing you could have and items were insignificant. So I'll go with gold is worthless and people who brag about how many 100 millions they have obviously either bought it or sold some old rares. Either way it's pixels.

NEVER bought gold and never had old rares I just made 150mil of an event item a couple months ago and I could sell over 500mil worth the loot and items I collected in just the last few years alone and I don't play much getting gold in uo is way to easy yet getting good armor is way to hard go figure

OHH I'm not bragging others have 10xs what I have I'm the little guy on my shard

I think you're pretty much on target here with your figures.

UO is like this. Things that are useless are priceless. Things that are of great value are typically very inexpensive. A blessed crimson cinture is 15-18m. Whatever random event thing an em just created (who's in the business now of creating something every few days) is worth 100-200m.

Aha once again experience speaks...

as my theory said the gap between the rich and the poor is so big, just like in real life.

UO was engeneered to recreate a mirror of real life for well... the closest word is geomancy as far as freemasonry goes.

Unfortunately the builders left, so now we're just a bunch of slaves fighting for mental and skill supremacy, while attempting at a story who'se metaframe is not even built with some complexity...

now go figure, not even the @players@ have some sort of consensus... a point of view about the current developping process, that is unified, accepted by a large number of enough players to effect a change in the developpers decisions. *syntax rofl*

Cause like anyone, they want to be cool. They're setting the stage, if everyone knows what is cool then it'd be smooth !

But heck, I ran against walls that stand packed together like they were "Ze best" but clearly everyone navigates around them without knowing why...

The gap is too big, and the stake too small.

I up the stakes, and also the fun.

But don't come blaming me when it starts, that you have not understood the rules ; that I haven't tried hard to make you know what UO is.

But no people think the ETs will phone at their door or that the secret order is going to poison them or whatnot. They bring up sone conspiracy theory because it comforts them, their chattry minds has a rush and they're satisfied, with the low depth of unphilosophical communications. I rehiterate here because I think I am worth UO ; and seen objectively, thats not alot. It's just some old game not many people care about anymore. Imagine UO with as many players as the current hot games ? How great would that be...

Fear fear fear... UO is tired of fears.

The stakes need to be upped by the devs, and by some very ironic coincidence conglomeration ; I am the only one who exactly knows how to do it, legally as well. The plan was transferred to me directly by the wisp AI, into wisp speech, on the night where I dreadfully ended all life on earth and the atlantic shard at the same time with a few dozen words uttered from my mouth.

I tell you verily cause it's the truth, every person who will stands against this, is standing against every free citizen of the earth, every lawful and honest man under god(or whatever you call him), for it is the principle of liberty. I am currently recording every action that plays under the sun. Every choice will hold infinite repercussions upon your very reality.

As I begin again what to most are going to say ; let there be the rule of common sense law ; let me be mysticism without a name. Let me be the Jester that I always was...

Puh Lease !

Venders, rares that don't lose value, empty bank boxes, locked down checks, characters with empty bank boxes, boats, castles,etc..

1 Castle, 1 Keep, 2 other houses. LOADED to over flowing. 4 Accounts, 2 FULLY Developed, scrolled and suited up. Chests with Runic Armor and weps. 5 Chests of Arties. I estimate roughly 500 mil on power scrolls, and about 800 mil for runic hammers and kits.

I have no idea of the monetary worth of my accounts. Not much, I make no effort to accumulate gold. I play because I like playing, it doesn't matter to me whether I'm making any gold while I play.

I hope that if questioned in this regards, my friends would say that i am priceless. :)

If you want to talk about money in game? Not very much. I would guess that in actual gold, i have less than 4 million across my account. If I cared to, I could have placed a vendor or two but I do not find that part of the game interesting. So, I will give away any extra conjurors garbs, replicas, arties, tok dyes or whatever to my friends for their use or to sell for themselves. I do not need these items, and if it offers them some enjoyment then the item is put to good use, they are happy, and so am I.

In the end, I am either at the very top or very bottom of this poll depending on how "worth" is defined.

Worth is easily defined if you were to sell every single little piece of item, home, rare, gift, trinket, animal, everything that youi have including that newbified shirt untill your naked, homeless, petless, bank completely empty in front of brit bank with only your skills to going market value rate for your shard would it be above 300mil or less.
The question if people consider themself priceless i think is a given nobody here I think is suicidle we all think we are gods and self less and will jump of a bridge to save a stranger. I don't think I will if I knew I will die but others might so eaither way thats a given.
