Is there a site that you know of with instructions/ideas on making these sig files. I would love to have one but have no clue on how to construct it. I have Photo Elements and Printshop programs. I just joined Siege btw before the boards went down. I and a few good friends from Cats (the core of our guild there actually) wanted to see this neck o' the woods. We are hooked and we love it.

How do you get an avatar?
Choose 'user CP' at the top of the board
Choose 'edit Avatar' from the menu at the left
Make sure the radio button 'do not use an avatar' is unchecked - If it is checked uncheck it, save changes, exit and start over.

Sig pictures should be no more than 600 pixels wide x 125 pixels high and 50kb in file size.
Other than that, whatever takes your fancy. I tend to start with some kind of background suitable for the character. Google for something like 'sky at night' or 'forest at night' for a 'dark' char, or maybe 'ruins at night', look for something you can crop a long, narrow oblong out of, or feasibly squash into the right shape.
Add images, text, border etc to suit. But I'm a mere amateur sig maker, some of the siggies I've seen leave me amazed.
Upload to a suitable site. Either your isp webspace, if your isp provides any, or a free host like photobucket or imageshack.
link to the url in your profile by adding the img opening and closing tags
