Hey guys, quick question. Just got most of my 7xGM skills up to 70, a couple in 80. Does the RoT effect all skills equally 70 to 100? Like will an increase of 0.1 in Bushido (72) affect a 0.1 increase chance in anatomy (84)?

Just trying to max out skills most efficiently, couldn't find this anywhere on the site other then the rates of increase time and cap for each 10% increase.

Thanks.

Skill points for skills less than 70 points will gain as normal shards.
Skill points for skills between 70 and 79.9 points will gain a maximum of 5 points per day with a minimum of 5 minutes between points gained. (250 minutes min to gain 5.0 skill)
Skill points for skills between 80 and 89.9 will gain at a maximum of 4.0 points per day with a minimum of 8 minutes between points gained. (320 minutes min to gain 4.0 skill)
Skill points for skills between 90 and 99.9 will gain at a maximum of 3.0 points per day with a minimum of 12 minutes between points gained. (360 minutes min to gain 3.0 skill points)
Skill points for skills between 100 and 109.9 will gain at a maximum of 3.0 skill points per day with a minimum of 15 minutes between points gained. (450 minutes min to gain 3.0 skill points)
Skill points for skills between 110 and 120 will gain at a maximum of 2.0 skill points per day with a minimum of 15 minutes between points gained. (300 minutes min to gain 2.0 skill points)
Players will be allowed to gain 15 stat points a day.

Hope that helps.:)

Its 5 points across the board at 70-80. So all 5 points into one skill or 1 point into 5 skills. Same thing after 80,just less points to play with.

If you have two skills in different ROT buckets, it affects them based on a percentage gain. For example, lets say you have anatomy at 85 and fencing at 110. So in the 80's you can gain 4.0 points per day, in the 110's you can gain 2.0 points per day. So if you've trained fencing from 110-111, you've used up 50% of your ROT for the day, 1 point out of 2. So you still have left 50% of your ROT in the other buckets so you can gain anatomy from 85-87, 2 points which is 50% of 4 points.

Did they change that recently Bruin?

Because as I recall it, if you had one skill in one bucket and another skill in a different bucket and you were to work both skills that day... then you're cap for the day (total gains) would be the higher one (a lower number.)

So say you had magery at 73 and eval at 82. If you worked both... you would only be able to gain a total of 4.0 for the day... not 5.0.

Like I asked... has this recently changed?

ROT is kinda sucky for melee skills, but superb for taming/barding/crafter skills.

Personally, I'd try to plan which are the most important skills to get to 120 first. If you are going samurai, perhaps that's weapon/bushido/parry. Focus on those and make sure you get all your ROT gains daily. I use a simple timer in my phone for this. When I get a gain, I set it to 5,10,15 minutes (whatever) and then go off playing until it dings, then get the gain.
