has been fixed for the better. it takes a lot less time to build a character now. if ya can get an alacrity scroll its even faster!!
So, for all you people that are upset over insurance and the trammy lands come check out SP where we dont have all that care-bear stuff! :)
anyway, i know a lot of people on here said they would check it out if ROT was fixed and im just letting u all know it is. causewe all know uo will never get rid of the trammy world on other shards!

(also we may be getting an extra char slot, voting is going on and 2 char slots is winning by a lot)

I personally would love to see all the "Great" prodo pvpers come over to siege.. and find out how much they really rely on their suits to do anything..

But!! Srsly! Siege is what UO should be.. Get over here!! Btw.. its very possible to run super suits on siege as well.. as long as you're willing to risk losing them.. My Dexxer is Currently running

40% LMC 8MR 45% DCI 31% HCI 70s +20 Str + 8 Dex Suit.. Not amazing.. but a good suit none the less..

So yes.. make a char on siege.. Get alacirty scrolls.. Use the New Rot to finish your char up right quick.. then DIE!! Pvp is much more fun when you run the risk of losing your amazing suit to anyone.. (Btw.. a lot of people run suits like the one im running.. so yes.. *You* Can loot these suits also.)

PLAY SP!!

Here's my story:

I sucked at PvP on Chessy. I rolled on Siege. I made a character. I played him a lot on Siege. I went back to mess around with dueling and PvP on a similarly templated character.... and ****ing walked over all of the competition.

I'm not a huge fan of PvP. But I loved the pre-Trammel days because of the risk of leaving town and running into a PK. I loved the blue gank squads that would form after someone's ghost ran into town yelling about some PK nearby.

It made UO feel like a dangerous place. The monsters were the least of my concerns as I left town to adventure. I always had hiding on my template and although I never got that good at PvP'ing, I got really good at escaping PKs. :)

Siege is sort of close to that, but until the non-PvP population increases there, it just doesn't bring back that feeling I got from the old days. I feel alone in a sea of professional PvPers...

So to me, Siege is not the answer. But a classic shard might be (at least for the first few months while population is high).

The largest guild on siege is mainly PvM and RP.

I'll be checking it out soon. Played a red on LS about 7 years ago, but now I think i'll try to stay blue on Siege.

Most people on Siege are color blind. There are plenty of nobel reds and despicable blues on the shard, just protect yourself at all times and you'll be fine...la

Howdy, with me there I promise you that you will never be the worse pvp'er. :) But hey, if I can out run them, it's like a win to me! And once I even got a punch in...that was great. Then I died.

The community is awesome, the game play is what I've been looking for. Just don't take anything personal, and if you do make nice with a person once...dont expect them to not kill or steal from you next time they see you, it's their role. Expect to be killed by a PKer, stolen from by a thief.

It is actually a myth that Siege is all PvP and nothing else. Really, I would say the majority of the population is actually PvM and crafters. As you mentioned, they enjoy the fact that there is some risk involved and it makes the rewards seem so much sweeter. The largest guild on Siege is mostly made up of these types with only a few dedicated PvPers, and even those are strictly on the side of good.

It doesn't matter what your style of play is, as long as you are willing to accept a few risks (and they are not that great if you avoid the obvious areas) and reject the double-lined padded cell that is Trammel AND insurance, then Siege is fine.

Thats weird, there always seemed to be tons of non pvpers around to me. I am one I know. Cept for the rare occasions I drop stealing onto my template. :p
