Rookie question: How to get Ki-rin brain from a Ki-rin?

Feeling like a n00b.
How do I get a Ki-rin brain from a ki-rin? (Or a unicorn rib from a unicorn or a PIxie leg from a pixie?)

I killed a ki-rin, no brain.
Used an executioner's axe on the corpse, hides and ribs, but no brain.

Can't see any info on how to obtain -- thanks for the help!

Kill more of them some of the Ki Rin are brainless!

Same thing with unicorns and Pixies.

Just random loot on them, just keep trying.
