ha! i did the exact same thing as you (almost). i spent 2 1/2 hours on LA just to kill one serpent. i didn't get a gem and no one else admitted getting a drop. after the LA folks called it a night i logged into baja where there were still 5 more monsters to slay. i stayed to kill 2 serpents and that was enough for me. these drops are not nearly as easy to get as the rubies. 25 mil is a fair price for this gem imo.

ya i imagine not a lot of shards will handle this one. should go smoothly on ATL but will probably be skipped by most standard event players on other shards because of the time commitment. however they can drop normal scalis drops also, someone claimed to have gotten a small soul forge and I have no reason to believe he was lying. Loot on them is pretty nice also.

selling the new gem from new round of global events. item is on Baja. gold on Atl. 25m each . These ones are pretty annoying to get. there are 20 scalis-like guys out in the tokuno oceans, gotta find them, lure them to shore, and kill them. have maybe a 50% chance of getting a gem when you kill one. the shard only managed to kill 1 of them on LA last nite after doing event for over 2 1/2 hrs, I didn't get a gem from it. After that I hopped on Baja and they were still going, after 3 1/2 hrs they managed to take out 15 of them, i joined in killing 5 of them, got 3 gems.

I loved it, got home from work at 11:15pm and there was still 8 of em left on catskills, took 1.5 hours to take down 2 of em, got my drop and logged off. Wish all events like this lol. Cater to us working 15 hour a day folks

i did catskills a little also. managed to only get 2 down in a little less than 2 hrs, 3rd one was very problematic and i had to leave after fighting it for about 30 minutes to take care of my silent auction
