Sorry this is so late, but I've been a bit preoccupied with, um...something, and haven't spent much time on UO over the past few days, barely even logging in over the weekend or yesterday.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm currently banging away on the old anvil, filling every Bod I have getting ready for the upcoming patch. I logged onto Origin this morning to my one and only character there and found a Stuffy Horse that I think might be pink, but I can't tell because of my color vision.

Anyway...

I used to manage large operations, and there was always at least 1 or 2 people that would do like that one girl is. I'd always pull that one person to the side and have a little chat with them, explaining to them that for each time I caught them "chatting" instead of working with everyone else to get out early on whatever holiday, they'd get 1 hour of work added to the day everyone else was allowed to leave early so they could finish up the tasks the others were diligently working on. I had to be there anyway, so didn't matter to me since they were on salary.

That usually got them working twice as hard as everyone else.

Problem here is, management always gives the "Or else" threats, but never carries through.

Two weeks in a row she has been told "Get this done by this date or else, no excuses" And she hasn't.

About 8 months ago they found she had placed her resume on Journalism Jobs....and she wasn't getting any of her jobs done on time....what do they do? They ask her what they can do to get her to stay and she ended up with a raise and an iPod...personalized iPod.

Needless to say, I'm not thrilled with that. Heh.

Can't wait for the scavenger hunt tonight! I am not a BOD filler myself, I had 2 spined kits, one of which I burned through for testing purposes with Theo. I need to work on my Arms Lore before I burn any more runics I think.

I think I am going to attempt to tame a super dragon today....I tried killing one with my Cu Sidhe.....didn't work out so well, my poor Cu died almost instantly...*sighs* those dragons are strong!

Killed a few paragons last night lookin for ingrediants and got a pixie swatter instead *laughs*

That sounds like a failure on management's part then, and she'll continue to do as little as possible as long as they continue to let her. It's a very common saying that "employees will only try to get away with what they know their boss will let them". My employees always knew from the start that if they work hard they get very well rewarded, and if they don't they get to apply for unemployment.

Yeah, I've been a little preoccupied lately, and haven't even really logged on. I think I played for maybe 30 minutes yesterday and not at all the day before, and only about an hour and a half early this morning.

Just got my first one Cassie and OH MY GOD...died 4 times tryin *laughs* hard to do it cus you gotta be on foot and that fire damage is fierce.

116.3 magery on this guy too, you can have him if you want him, I'm gonna try to get a few more *grins*

Congrats! I didn't think about the on foot part with taming those. I'm guessing you have to beat em down too huh?

Mmm yeah about 90 EV's and 4 deaths later I had him down to ALMOST half life *laughs*

But he's a fierce machine!

No, that's not bad at all. That's a really high barding difficulty too.

I've been having issues in game with the magical rubberbanding getting me killed in not great places.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BEAT DOWN DRAGONS!!! I've said this many times, and it is even more true of these dragons than it is of normal dragons. Dragons teleport like crazy when they are heavily damaged, and these dragons do it far more than normal dragons, so unless you are keen on having one of these teleporting on top of you, do not attempt to beat them down before taming. You are far better off to make sure you have high fire resist, and take the punishment...

This one never teleported to me, it really didn't have to seeing as it did 70 point damage fireball things from 2 screens away *grins*

I tried to do it first without beating it down but I just wanted to see if I COULD with just EV's. It took awhile but this one NEVER teleported.

*Laughs* well I can't get another one right now because I have no room in my stable and I can't pull anything out cus this bugger takes 5 slots *grins* So he'll be followin me around for awhile.

They don't start teleporting until they are really heavily damaged (less than 25% health). So I guess you could beat it halfway down and not have any problems.
