Right of Conquest

It might sound a bit too RP, but it's how I see it.
What it means (to me) is if I die at the hands of a player on Siege, then my goods are his by right of conquest. If I've lost something I wished I'd remembered to leave at home I will ask, politely, if my murderer would be willing to sell the item back (sell, not give). If the answer is 'no'. Then I kick myself severely for not leaving the item at home, go make myself a new suit and then explore the possibilities of finding a replacement for the specific lost item.

I think there are a few people playing the shard who would do well to understand and accept 'right of conquest' as I do.

QFT.

Also, just an observation, whining tends to just irritate people and give you less of a chance to get your things sold back.

I agree. This is siege. I carry anything at my own risk and do not expect any 'respect'. If I do get killed, then I move on and learn.

I don't like 'smack talk'. But if I get killed and there's no 'smack talk' then I'm fine. Do with my corpse as you wish... wait that sounds wrong...

I do understand why you want players to understand and accept this 'right of conquest'. This means that the game belongs only to the pker.

Quite a nice paradigm for the few who gain from this view...

Of course this view of the game is 'corrupt'.

Looting is normal in this game and I expect it.

Folks just skip the polite part, and recover your place in this game... re-equip yourself and change your activities. Make the pkers have a hard time finding you.

Never buy stolen goods.

This is what I always tell young players. Always, being polite and smile when you get back to your body do help too, if you hope something will be left on your body.

I remember years ago, I ressed a a guy, who just was killed of a local PK. His first words, when he was back to life was something like "This was fun, can't remember when I last died to a PK :)

The PK was almost dont looting the body when he heard him say that and he started dropping back the guys armor on the body.

I had heard some players complain, that they always get drylooted, I bet, it's their own fail and they always do something that annoy their killer and make him want to punishe them. Even I had drylooted a few guys and dropped the items on a animal corpes to let it decay but it do take alot pancakes and crying to make me that mad.

Sure there will always be a few PK's who will want grief you no matter what you do, but they are few.

If you are red, you will learn very fast, that some blue can be very nasty too.

I remember a blue customer at Tina Tinks shop. He chatted always a little with Tina Tink but stayed away from Freja, who was red at that time.

A day he showed up, Tina Tink was grey from rezzing a red. He killed her without a word and looted her body. Tina can't fight back so it was an easy kill.

However the red guy Tina Tink ressed belong to a red guild, who was one of Tina Tinks main customers. They killed and looted him many times to punishe him. He ended up begging Tina Tink for mercy.
