Can anyone explain wht the clicky was turned off so quick??? lots of people never got 1. Some did have more than 1 toon getting a rerward, but really who cares. I thought rewards were not to make rare items?

The issue (as I'm guessing, I was out of town... and I forgot to tell anyone, SORRY GARETH!) is probably that people were abusing it and gating people in who didn't participate/using alts/etc.
The idea of rewards it to reward people who actually participated, the yet the playerbase has turned far too greedy/abusive, so the bad apples screw the rest of us. It's what happened last time.
