Returning to WoW with a question

I quit WoW almost 3 years ago, before the "Burning Crusade" expansion was released. Do I need to get both the Burning Crusade and the Wraith of the Lich King expansions or will the Wraith of the Lich King have the goodies that came with the Burning Crusade?

I dont wanna buy both and discover that I only needed the Lich King expansion.
