returning to uo soon

My father and I are wanting to come back to UO again after all these years and I have a question to ask. It has been maybe 3 years since we last played, we have upgraded to new computers over the time. I know we have to reinstall the game client, so we went to uo.com site. I am currently downloading the client as I am typing this but my father did earlier today. He downloaded the Enchanced version beta and after 20 minutes ir installing/patching, he could not get it to run. He was getting errors before typing his account information into the login screen. Anyone know why this is?

YOU may want to try posting this in the UO Tech - Stratics Forums forum as well.

As to your question it may have to do with Win 7 and "Run as Administrator." You may try right clicking on the installation file and choose "run as administrator." This should allow the Game to install and patch correctly. From there it may or may not progress. Worth a shot.

The classic client is the just as it sounds and should work just fine on your newer systems, but it is the same old game window so on larger monitors it may not work for you.
