Returning player

Hi all! I am trying to return after about a year or more away from the game. (Had to try WoW, ya know.) I used to have a garden shop, but got rid of everything when I *thought* I was leaving UO. So now, I'm going to give the game another try and wish I had my plants.

I play on Lake Superior. Can anyone direct me to a well stocked, reasonable plant shop? Or does anyone have some seeds/plants to sell or donate? At the moment I'd like some orange/Fall/Halloween things but anything to get me started again is much welcome!

Thanks!
~Deb

Hi Deb, and welcome back! We do have one Lake Superior shop listed in the stickied Garden Shops and Vendors thread for 2007...I'd be happy to supply you with seeds, but I play on Chessy :/ Hopefully someone else who plays on LS will chime in...

I never did quite make it back. I puttered around trying to clean up my house and grow a few plants but never jumped back into the game with both feet. I'm going to try again. lol

Anyway, my new question is...what is this about rubble plants? And rubble in general for that matter. I saw various 'rubble' pieces as I wandered Luna last night. Where/how do we get it?

I also saw the thread about the choco-tree. Is that in-game now?

The rubble plants are leftovers from the Magincia Invasion. The void daemons would explode and destroy plants, people, and buildings leaving rubble.
Rubble is exculsively deco and has no other purpose as to yet.

The choco plants aren't in game yet, but look for them in the next publish hopefully.
I haven't heard how the seeds will be obtained yet either.

If you happen to visit Oceania this time around I have so many seeds I do not know what to do with them.......and it seems too big of a shame to just toss them away.

So is the rubble collection over? I mean, whatever was collected at the time is all there is ingame?

Thanks for the seed offer, Amathist, but I'll probably stay on Lake Superior. *thinks* Even though there is no one left there that I know.... *sniffle*

Yes, the rubble collecting is over - there are still quite a few pieces available for sale on player-run vendors though.

Did they (when, why?) change the way Bags of Sending work? I logged on today to work on reaquainting myself with some things, tried to send a pile of money to the bank and it kept telling me I don't have enough charges to send that much weight.....???

They did change the way the bags work - the number of charges that get used is now based on the weight of the item/stack you want to send to the bank, instead of just one charge per item/stack sent.

The change is pretty controversial, as you can imagine. Apparently it was made to slow resource/gold scripters down, but it's also affected crafters and legitimate resource gatherers.

Heh well I won't comment further than that
Personally, I have mixed feelings about the change.
