Hello!

I havnt played UO since......1999?

A few questions.....I have characters on Atlantic server, which according to the server list is the most active server?

I downloaded the UO client (Kingdom Reborn) from the UO herald, and have been in game. I have been exploring the entire area in Felucca, and its barren. I came across a few people who said there is some PvP at the Yew Moongate, and there few a scant few people there....like 4-5.

I have also been told that Luna is the current hotspot. Like I said I have been out of UO since 1999 and have no clue where/what that is.

1. Is Atlantic a well populated server?

2. Do I need to download any additional updates/expansion packs to get to Luna, T2A, or any other places? If so, where can I find them?

3. Is there still any PvP that occurs? Is it FFA and full loot? Or since Trammel has come out is everyone basically playing in PvP optional areas?

4. How the heck do I get to Luna? Or is there a better place for me to go?

5. I left the game with a GM miner/Blacksmith (blacksmith skill somehow at zero now wahhhh but mining is still correct), a 5 GM Mage, and a Thief. Are any of these types of characters still viable to play the way the game currently is set up?

6. If there isnt alot of PvP on Atlantic anymore, is Siege Perilous still well populated?

Any other info for a returning player looking to have a good time appreciated!

PS - I have about 300,000 gold (give or take) in my bank on my main guy. Is that a decent amount in the current UO market or......has inflation made that worth near nothing?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Atlantic still has a healthy PvP population, as far as I know - as does Siege. However...one of the things that tends to disguise the number of players about was thanks to the advent of Stealth. (probably cropped up during your absence :)

I'm not sure how to advise concerning the KR client, as I've never used it. However, in you should be able to go to any public moongate and click on 'Malas' and 'Luna' on the menu, to arrive there (assuming that that expansion is included in your client) Personally, I avoid it like the plague that it is - but that's just me :-D

PS - I do not have Malus as an option on the moongates, ONLY Trammel and Felucca.

What do I need to do in order to get all of the expansions with KR?

It sounds like you are playing an old account which means you might not be upgraded to access the new lands like Ilshenar, Malas, and Tokuno. Particularly today, an event called the Treasures of Tokuno was released so much of the population is in Tokuno trying to obtain the treasures there. This is possibly why you can't seen anyone.

You can get an ML upgrade code which will give you access to all the lands and 99.9% of the content. The only downside is there's a new expansion coming out this summer called Stygian Abyss. That upgrade will get you access to everything including the new SA content. Thus I don't know if you want to upgrade now and then buy another upgrade.

Oh and clients and account rights are two different things. You can use any client with any account. It's just a personal preference. A new client will be released this summer as well and it will replace the KR client. So whether you're using the 2d client or KR client or both, you need to upgrade your account to access the new areas.

You can get the ML upgrade code at www.uogamecodes.com

Where do I get an ML update code? What does ML stand for by the way?

Sounds like you've got answers to most of your questions, but I wanted to point out that Siege is the only shard with full PvP looting. At least as full as it gets. Siege players are allowed to bless 1 item. All other shards have item insurance which allows players to retain all insured items after death, so not much to loot there.

Regardless of your preferred playstyle, welcome back. Its good to see some returning players.

TY!

Just how active is SP shard? Will I find PvP? Will I have to defend against PvP when mining/etc?

Are there people around that I can steal from if I make a thief? :p

SP is strictly Fel lands correct? No trammel, to malus, etc...?

PS - Got my ML upgrade (actually 9th ann edition) last night and have full lands if I do want to explore elsewhere.

You should use the Forum Jump drop-down menu at the bottom right of this page. Select UO Siege Perilous and pay a visit!

There is LOTS more information and helpful tips to be found there, re: Siege. I particularly advise reading the stickied posts uptop, once you get there :)

Oh, and good luck! :-D
