Hi All,
I, like many other people, am considering returning to UO after a very long hiatus. I played the game during its initial release up through the second age. I sold my accounts before shipping off for the military. When I returned, my tower had decayed and all of my characters skills were no longer the "premium" skills for combat (wrestling, Eval Int, and others were useless in those early days). I re-tooled my characters and bought a modest little home before selling my account so I could focus on school and family.
Now that I am an old fart, and my life is stable, my job is good and my family is growing up, I have a little more time to relax and have some "me time". My first thought was Ultima, and I called up a few of my friends that I played with back in the day and we all had a lot of laughs about all the crazy stuff we used to do back in the day. It made me nostalgic and I decided I wanted to return to UO once more, for good, or until they shut down the servers (heaven forbid).
When I started to research all the changes my head was spinning. Totally new skills, worlds, dungeons and multiple expansion packs. There was so much to it and I was hoping that someone kind soul out there would be willing to spend 15 to 30 minutes on skype or vent and tell me what all I missed and what I need to focus on to get back into the game? I know it sounds weird, but for someone to try and type it all out on a forum I think they'd be here all week!
If there is someone nice enough out there to tell an old guy the new tricks I would be grateful. Thanks Much.
