Returning player - tamed pets and statlost

Is there still stat lost for tamed animals after the introduction of Animal Training in the UO? There is a lot of contradiction on the internet around this topic. A lot of older materials are still pointing to him. Is there any list of animals covered by statlost or a table that stores based tamed pet statistics after update 97?

Depends on the animal.

Many higher HP/STR pets will lose half their HP/STR after being tamed. I know this affects Cu's, tigers, and lions. Maybe someone else can add to this list.

Perhaps someone of you has knowledge of the list of creatures losing half of the statistics (or which ones)? Or will it be tempted to create such a list - in the known scope - based on current experiences? I do not know how much the info contained in the stratics wiki are up to date.

Like SouthPaw said for higher stat mobs.

Pets still lose .01 skill points upon death but still gain it back after fighting mobs.
