What would be the best template for a PvP Mage?? I would like tobe able to solo the hardest creatures in the game..

So far I have 4 skill for my template
120 Magery
120 Eval Int
??? Med do I go 100 or 120??
100 Inscription

Now for the rest of the template, where should I go??
Is a posion mage still effective??
Tamer Mage effective??
How well do fighter(fence, swords, ect) mages do??

I love mages, I love mages more than non mages. However the most effective template to solo the hardest bosses is not a mage, it is a sampire.

*holds head in shame for betraying the ancient mage code*

Anywhere you want. You can't go wrong with a good mage no matter the template, it depends on how you like to play.

Is a posion mage still effective??
Honestly, not particularly anymore.

Tamer Mage effective??
Very effective. A very common and easy to play template is:

120 Taming
120 Lore
120 Vet
120 Spellweaving
120 Magery
120 Meditation

That is a basis, you can drop med to 100, drop tame/lore to 110/110 and pick up chiv for curse removal.

You can also go disco tamer:

120 Disco
120 Music
120 Magery
120 Lore
120 Taming
120 Vet

(and again drop med/tame/lore/magery down a bit to fit other stuff)

How well do fighter(fence, swords, ect) mages do??
Not well? Most people use mage weapons with +magery on jewelry and talismans to make up for the -20 magery.

I think if you want to focus on casting, one of the most popular pvm templates include Mysticism, Focus (instead of meditation) and Spellweaving.

A base might be:

120 Magery
120 Eval
120 Mysticism
120 Focus
120 Spellweaving
100 Inscription or 120 Meditation or 120 Spirit Speak and then fit in 20-40 Necro for wraith form. You can get creative with plus skill items here too.

you are confusing me a bit, say "PvP mage" followed by "hardest creatures" am unsure which you mean. presuming PvM

go for 120 med if you want to go peerless.

you will generelly not be able to solo peerless as mage with any build, like one said a mage is more of a group char.

that being said, everyone wants mages in thier group, since they are very versetile, also they can heal others at range very effectivly.

inscription is not bad, but inscription really thrives in pvp due to stacking with with the pvp sdi cap on items. though granted inscription still gives 10% sdi at gm that stacks with your gear for pvm as well.

i myself is a big fan of spellweaving. it has a variety of spells that is particulary useful in hard encounters.

Tamer mage is very effective, i am running navrey with another tamer (disco/tamer) and i am a weaver/mage/tamer (no vet) and its quite effective combo! :)

dont go for weapon skills, as a pvm mage you would want to wear a spellbook (scrapper, or better, slayers) at all times, in which case as previously mentioned Ana or wrestling (ana works with eval to grant anti fizzle, at 20 less point cost than wrestling) although for pvm you will generelly be ok without either should you wish to use your points to boost your damage instead. weapon skills / wres / ana is more of a solo build for normal stuff.
