Ok so it appears Im beating the poor horse here along with half the forum population.I have just returned after a sevral year absence and most of the used items are very new to me and all the abreveations look like a foreign language.Basically what im looking for is some advice on artifacts and things i should be looking for to gear up a sampire. also telling me what DCI, and the other common abervs mean would also be helpful as i would know what kind of bonuses im looking for on non arty gear.

Abbreviations:

**DCI-Defence chance increase this is capped at 45%
*HCI-Hit chance increase also 45%
**DI - Damage increased capped at 300%
*LMC-Lower Mana Cost capped at either 40% or 45%
**HSL-Hit stamina leech...no cap as such 100%though
HLL- Hit life leech
**HML-Hit Mana Leech
MR-Mana Regeneration
*SR-Stamina Regeneration
HPR-Hit Point Regeneration
*HLD-Hit lower Defence
*HLA- Hit lower Attack
RPD-Reflect Physical Damage

I think thats it, the majority of them are quite straightforward in that they do exactly what they say on the tin :p

The ones with stars in front you want to try to maximise on a sampire.
Double stars i would say most important

You can build a sampire for relatively little cash. 15 scrolls are pretty cheap for wep/bush/parry, and you could use heart of lion and ancient samurai helm as corner stones for your suit, filling the other peices in with strictly resist pieces.

If you go swords you can use a soulseeker which is pretty cheap nowadays.

Jewels just look for DCI/DI.

I don't know that you'd be able to solo dreadhorn with the most basic of basic gear, but you can definately farm many of the high end monsters to earn cash to get better gear.

Thank you both for very helpful and quick responses.

Edit: i see that the Soul seeker is a repond slayer, what sort of things am i looking to hunt for good loot with that?
