Returning player asking about soulstones

Hello, I just got back to UO last week knowing my house had decayed months ago and all my soulstones and fragments went with the house.

Are soulstones worth anything these days ? I mean my local gameshop is selling Samurai Empires for 2euros, I might just go there and buy a bunch of them, instead of spending time to track down the player(s) who took my stones. I haven't found any soulstone tokens for sale on vendors, so I dont know their value.

I'd check before you buy, but I seem to remember the soulstones were an 'early buyer' thing?

You can get a green soulstone token by buying a legacy token code from http://www.uogamecodes.com/

or you can claim a non-transferable red one as a 1st year vet reward

I guess this hasn't changed ? Anyways I think im gonna just buy the SE boxes that are on sale, I did some math and I will save money and time by just buying new stones, rather than spending time to find the ones using my soulstones as a decoration.

I bought an unopened SE box a while back, only codes inside were for new account / account upgrade. Maybe those are the codes they meant?

hmmm ... that legacy token sounds nice. What items can you choose from? The website only says "such as The Hooded Shroud of Shadows, The Charger of the Fallen or the Green Soulstone."

My memory is a little hazy, but I believe if you use the account upgrade code ingame you can get a soulstone fragement token. I'm almost sure soulstone tokens were on a separate leaflet. I seem to remember a row about some retailers handing them out in blocks instead of one per customer?

I guess the SE soulstone preorder thing depended on which country you live in or when your SE boxes were printed ? Atleast these boxes have printed on them "Claim your special item in-game , the soulstone, instructions in the box" and inside there's a small note that includes the soulstone token code.

It was like this when SE was released too.

hmm .. might still be worth spending the money for since I am running out of those little soulstones and it's such a pain finding them on vendors ... and they are expensive, too.

I bought a copy of SE marked with the "claim your special item in-game" at least 3 yrs after it was released, and the promo code for the soulstone still worked then w/o problems.

The SE soulstone codes still work. (Unless of course the people in the game store has used them )

I still have a few boxes of them that a friend found in a store about a year ago and they work fine when I claim them...

And 2 euro a piece is very cheap so I would buy them if I were you and needed some SSs. Use the SSs and sell the frags to get some money to get you started.
