returning and confused

I just started a trial account after 5 years of no uo. Played from 1999 till 2005, but....I am so confused!

I still have my old chars, but they are practically naked. That's not a problem, but I have absolutely no clue what sort of changes there have been.

Can anyone give me a few pointers to what the major changes are ? Last time I played, we were all hunting for artifacts and completing bods.

I am sorry you have been away so long. you have missed so much. I am not even sure where you should start. Check articles on stratics about the most recent expanisons. By all means ask Questions.

Welcome back. First off, there's a new expansion, Stygian Abyss, so there are lots of goodies associated with that. Second, the Dev team has been adding holiday content. We're doing the thanksgiving turkey hunting quests now. To start the quest, go to the moonglow zoo and find Al Wilson. Just say his name and look for the capitalized keywords in his text to get him to continue speaking. If you have a provoker, this is a perfect event for that character.

What shard do you play?

Now you need millions of gold. But I can help you with that if you play atlantic. Its not as bad as it sounds.

Next is to tell us what you like to do. (which sounds perverse)

I play on Europa and have been busy running around naked. Kept seeing armor, weapons, items I've never seen and been looking them up. Still confused

My fav. char was a tamer/provoker....could kill almost anything with her and often went to hunt ancynt wyrms which was tricky but doable solo. If i wanted to take it easy I would go to a place in ilshenar for example and do the large spawn of titans and like. Now I went there (naked) and got killed at the moongate by mongbats. So. hrm. 12 deaths and corpse hopping back I decided to give it a rest.

What I really want to know is prolly something silly. I don't remember the order of expansion packs and it says I am not registered for mondain's legacy, but I can make elves. So is my account legacy enabled or not ?

Also what classes/skills are now good ? And what are most-have armor/weapons to be able to play properly ? I remember 70 was a good resist.

Lots of questions. Not sure if want to keep playing, but want to give it a go to see if I will enjoy it again.

After a while they just gave the ML expansion to everyone for free (a few months back i think)
Your template is still a good one.

Look into imbuing, that's the biggest change so far.
