Stratics Forums is a big place with little gems of knowledge hidden around in assorted, dusty threads. Finding the best user-created guides, artwork, music, and tools can be a challenge, especially for new users.
To improve knowledge management, Stratics is pleased to introduce a Resource Manager! The Resource Manager (accessed via the "Resources" link at the top of our forums) allows any Stratics user to submit a variety of resources, both free and paid, including but not limited to guides, images, art, music, calculators, tools, etc. Other community members can use and rate these resources.
Whenever a resource is submitted, a corresponding discussion thread will automatically be created for it. After submission, the resource author can upload versionized updates. Resources can be sorted by recency of submission, recency of update, highest user rating, and most downloaded.
Why is this helpful? First and foremost, it places all of our community's amazing resources in a single place. No more hunting or bookmarking ancient threads with hidden knowledge! Additionally, the ability to sort by the highest user rating allows the very best guides to rise to the top, while the ability to sort by the most recently submitted resources allows immediate community exposure to the most up-to-date guides.
As we begin to populate the Resource Manager, we'll be holding some contests for users who participate in uploading resources. Stay tuned! Meanwhile, feedback is always invited.
