Resizing house issues

hi, Using this command is meant to guarentee you can at least replace the existing house with the same size, well ive used this and on many occasions cannot even do this let alone make the plot bigger.
Can we have a button whereby at anytime in the hour you can just give up trying to make bigger and just replace the original house.
Doing this in Luna make my old heart beat like crazy and time and time again i chicken out and end up placing a smaller house. this resizing clearly doesnt work properly and to have a cast iron guarentee would help a great deal.
what are your thoughts?

My understanding is that it guarantees you the plot - but not necessarily the same size. If the house is listed as "Improperly Placed", I do not think you can resize and replace so I always check the house sign first just in case.

If your using the 2d client it can be tricky even trying to place the original sized house back down when attempting to resize. It is easier in the newer client since the foundation appears where your placing.

this is what im saying, why is it tricky? it shouldnt be.
i wouldnt waste my time posting theres a problem if the house was improperly placed that kind of expalins itself.
i have had trouble with 2 houses, i know a larger one fits as its neighbor is bigger there is nothing blocking placement thats visible. ive honestly placed 100's of houses in UO over the years and i just cant get this resizing thing to work in Luna properly. it guarantees you that you can replace the original house yet if they put a button or an automatic timer that replaces it then you wont have a coronary trying to safegaurd your expensive town plot

If I recall, there was a thread about Luna housing last week and people were saying with the houses around luna, you can only increase their size by 1 tile every few days or something like that.

*edit* Here's a post from that thread that may explain. http://vboards.stratics.com/showpost.php?p=1695687&postcount=25

Looks like it only allows 1 tile per day increase for whatever reason.

I tried the 1 tile larger method a couple weeks ago when I accidently placed a 7x7 (The spot was big enough for a 9x10 or 9x11.) The following day I resized and after 30 minutes of trying I was able to place an 8x8. The following day I resized again and once again after 30 minutes plus the wait for using the placement tool too often, I was able to get a 9x8. Progress so far. The next day I resized again and no matter what I tried I couldn't even get the 9x8 to place and ended up go back to 8x8. The next day I downloaded the enhanced client and resized the house again and was able to place the 9x8 on the first try. A week later I bought a keep.

Resizing can be hard sometimes due to changing in the terrain. I do not know how often terrain changes, like rocks, flowers, uneven-ness. I know there are now some stuff under one of my houses that wasnt there when I placed it. If I were to try to resize I wouldnt get the same size due to these being things you cannot place on, but I do agree that you should be able to replace the original house with no problems.

The trick to placing houses in 2d client is make sure the uo playable window is all the way to the top left corner of the playable window itself or even better go into full screen mode.
