resists on my suit are messed up, any ideas?

ok when i add the resists on my suit up they come out to 50/59/70/56/70, however when i wear the suit it shows my physical is 44, i don't have protection on, i dont have reactive armor or magic reflection casted, i even used a ward removal talisman to make sure, any ideas? i can get it to 50/54/70/51/70 but i would like the resists to be what they add up to...

what are they naked. i am betting that your physical is -16. its happened to 2 of my characters since SA launch and i had to get a gm to fix it both times.
the good news is they fixed it fast

And what are your resists if you kill yourself and then put on your suit?

(killing yourself is the a sure-fire way to remove all of those resist-changing spells, thus starting at 0)

this has happened to two of my characters. both were elf. i contacted a gm and they couldn't fix it. i went to customer service and they told me it could not be fixed. i killed the character, they gave me an advanced token and i re created him. of course i was out the scrolls. this was my necro / mage so not too much of a deal to recreate.

my second char is my tamer. i have packed on the resists to get him to respectable but i really don't want to delete him as i have no way to really manage the 14 pets he has on his account. i have 1 account and 1 tamer.

so he is a trammy and hides behind his meat shield.

have you tried doing the elf to human then human to elf quest to see if that does anything?

i did transfer this char from sonoma to chessy and wondered if this happened in the cross shard move.

anyway in the end. lucious vorenus went to valhalla and filthy phil was born.

ok it is apparent you tried everything i did and more. was yours the -16 phys while naked and no spells/debuffs active? because if it is the gms can fix it they have done it twice for me in the last two weeks. you just have to be specific and say in the page " i have -16 physical resist while my character is naked with no spells/debuffs showing in the bar and have tried killing myself" thats the exact phrasing i used the second time and it took the gm 5 seconds to fix it

*edit this happened to me after i did the elf to human quest and i believe i had protection active on him

maybe you added in 6 resist (3/3 from vet robe/cloak) and now arent using them?

Jebus, I would have just kept paging till I got a GM who knew what game they were in. Ugh!

sorry to drag this back up but I just had a 3rd character have the -16 physical resist issue. been trying to clear it up on my own as I hate having to call in a GM to do it every time. Anyone have an idea why this is happening i have no clue now because what i thought was going on had to do with changing the race of a char but as far as i can remember this guy has always been a human (it's my lumberjack).

I experienced the same thing on my mage, elf - with magical resist. No visible debuffs, but something ate 20 PR.. somewhere. Called GM, he tried - but couldn`t help. Finally, after the GM mentioned magical resist, I soulstoned the skill, put the armor back on , soulstoned it back on the character again and everything worked fine.

I have no idea why. Hope this helps.

well I had to call a GM again after trying for 1 hour doing everything i could think of and everything that's been suggested. actually had the gm show up as a ghost (lol) and take care of it. I never had resist on this char but i tried putting it on and off before i called them. guess I'll just hope it doesn't happen to all of my characters

I posted in another thread about being at -20 phy resist naked. I had to get explain in my gm help request that I was naked and had the -20 before a gm came to reset my phy resist. Once a gm understood it was fixed quickly.

Did you add the suit up in a bag or whilst you were wearing it? For some reason you may have added your suits resists on top of the magic resist skill's boost to resistances.
