Resist usefulness

In my current template I run resist at 90.

Against a necro caster, resist will be the difference between a battle that continues and a death robe when they land a blood oath. This makes sense to have it handy.

Against non-necro casters, is it much useful?

Against something with 120 eval a weaken/clumsy/feeblemind will reduce by 20 with 0 resist, or 11 with my 90. But a potion will improve me by 30... plus I can either eat an apple, or cast remove curse. The creature with the most eval I've been able to find (abyssal horror, probably the mage master also) has 200.

It looks like mana drain is Caster Eval + 40 - target Resist... well even with my 90 resist, that is pretty much all of my mana against something with 100+ eval.

I am currently running: 120 swords, tact, anat, chiv, 100 necro, parry and the 90 resist. (50 skills on jewels) I typically run a 1h + shield setup.

What skill would I replace my resist with? Here are some candidates, and my thoughts:

Bushido:
Since I go 1h + shield bush doesn't make much sense, unless I am fighting something that has no slayer so I can get honor, and just block nothing. - but in this case, I might as well trade parry for bush.

Spellweaving:
Mostly for GoR, I guess. I would get, I think, 10 HP every 8 seconds... Could be useful.

Mystic:
Just healing stone? But how powerful would it be, since I don't have focus or imbue? Can't use colossus, since I ride an armored swampy.

Another option would be to simply trade a skill or two on my jewelry for base skill, and put other useful properties on the jewelry.

Yes, when you need Bushido (for perfection bonus when you haven't slayer).

Resisting Spells may also be useful against Mana Drain/Vampire.
You you want to replace it then I suggest Healing.

Is this for PVP or PVM?

I just PVM so I can only comment on my exp with PVM. If your fighting against mobs that cast a lot of spells then resist magic is very handy. I have a mystic stealthier which does not use resist and gets around and cast RS and is pretty powerful with just basic armour and like max luck for the best drops. My warrior uses bushido and has pretty leet setup as far as equipment and would recommend this skill in PVM.

But to answer your original question my warrior always has 120 resist on mainly for mana vamp and paralyze (I know traps bags work well) but if in a hurry to get out of a bad situation that skill has saved my arse many a time. You can go with 100 resist magic and that works well if your tight on skill points.

When I ran my sampy a lot it was for spawning....I found 120 rs was the difference between having fun spawning...and getting frustrated. Now I tend to use an archer for spawning I still use 120 rs....but it isnt as important.

I am going to rework a few things and bring my sampy and pally out of retirement soon.....I like the idea of the 120 anatomy and the 120 rs being interchangeable ...also want to try 120 parry again

I used 100 RS, then 80, after that 60 and now 0. I do not feel much difference in places i play. I think more helps me in battle 120 Anatomy + 120 Healing + 120 Parry. (Will publish updated char template soon).

Mana Drain i can survive because i got Healing, Paralyze and Soul Charge. Paralyze i can survive using trap box. For curses go Apples + Potions and even curse -16% is playable and i still can swing 1.25.

I use 120 resist or 0. I always run with Resist for necro casters. If there are no necro spells (like blood oath) to contend with, then I just ensure I have enough stats to absorb the debuff and still swing at max speed.
