Reporting a moongate bug

I'm pretty sure this was unintended. I do not have the high seas booster pack, I have a normal ship. The ship, and key, are mine and belong to me. My friend waited on the boat, while I used my runebook to recall to a bank. Then she opened a moongate for me to return to my boat. I could not travel through the moongate, and got the message in my journal saying that I had to upgrade to the high seas booster pack to use this option. ???

I did submit this bug in the game via the help option. Not sure if the Dev's ever get the time to look at those, so, I thought I'd post about it here as well.

I see this a lot. I didn't think this was a bug. The simple solution is to upgrade if you want to use the new content.

doesn't make sense if it's an old boat, no sense at all.... what we were able to do before the HS pack we should still be able to do

did you try dry-docking the boat and repeat?

Was the boat parked at the Floating Emporium? That's about the only way it would make sense to me. Other than that, got me stumped.

So I just gated to a legacy boat, When you go through the gate you then 'recall' to the ship and appear elsewhere rather than just go through the gate like before High Seas.

So obviously they made this feature for High Seas boats, And it somehow got added to Legacy ones too, I'm pretty sure it's an oversight.

I think DevilsOwn see's my point. Was able before, not able now. No, it was not at the emporium. It's actually my second account. I didn't feel like buying the booster for both my accounts. I also think it was overlooked Mapper. Just like the key thing that I (and a few others have reported).

Do you think the moongate, and hopefully the key issue will get fixed though?

I just went looking for an actual thread on what I referred to as the "key bug" and I could not find one. So, I thought I'd mention it here.

The Key bug:

Used to be you could make copies of your ship key. (mind you I'm referring to the old style boats, not the galleons) I used to give all of my alts a copy of the key so that they could recall to them off of the key. Since the High Seas expansion hit though, the only key that the recall spell works with is the original one dropped in your pack when the boat is placed, and the spare you get in your bank box.



Just thought I'd add it to this thread. Hope it gets some attention.
