The other week saw an intelligent undead riding upon a skeletal raptor attack Vesper. The undead was defeated and locked in the Vesper cells where it managed to summon hellspawn to attack the Redguard and escape.
Since then there has been numerous sightings of this powerful undead along with a number of deaths also leading the Redguard to believe the murder at the Swaggers with the woman being pushed down the stairs now being related to the current undead crisis.
Tonight another death of an innocent occured with evidence pointing towards undead found next to the corpse. Redguard Commander Escaflowne lead the Redguard and Covian soldiers on a patrol around Vesper's western sector as most of the undead attacks had been coming from the West. The group headed to Cove cemetary but found nothing suspicious. They proceeded to patrol back along the western road towards Minoc when they made a vital discovery to the investigation.
The group came across an eerie structure next to the western crossroads and Bucs Den portal. The intelligent undead had been tracked to this area in weeks previous. They cautiously entered the building finding disturbing scenes of sacrificial chambers and other necromatic artifacts.
Unfortunately one of the Covians the building had a number of traps, managing to fall down a hole twice, eventually injuring his leg. Both times the group had to pull out with rope. After a quick sweep of the building Commander Escaflowne ordered everyone to evacuate the dangerous structure.
The site is now off limits to all civilians. The Redguard are to have a sentry keeping it under observation at all times. The Vesparian Warlocks will gather to investigate the building further and detect any dark magic or magical traps within.
