It seems these were not idle threats as tonight saw Corgul's Legion of Souls march across the sea to Vesper docks. Two Vesper destroyers, one of which was lost in the battle kept the soul soldiers busy whilst the Redguard, Pickles of Cove and Declan O'Connor of the Vesper Trading Company gathered their weapons to meet the threat head on.
The Republican forces were met with firm resistance but marched on cutting their way through countless soul soldiers making their way to the docks.
It seemed like victory was in hand until they encountered the last wave of Corgul's army. Powerful soulmancers and soul masters crashed against Republican shields and steel forcing our warriors to make a tactical retreat and reform the ranks. Covian Pickles with her dazzling green hair showed true heroics during the battle. Another reason why Vesper and Cove should stay united!
Once the army was defeated the Soul Commander made itself known, striking our whole army down in a flurry of soul blasts. After another tactical retreat the Republicans re-engaged this truly epic foe, suffering countless injuries but standing firm and eventually slaying the commander thanks to the brothers in arms Keitaro Kazami and Rimeny De Blaze going toe to toe with our enemy.
The Legion of Souls had been successfully repelled thanks to the skill and bravery of all the Redguard and her allies. We rose to the challenge and won, Corgul will not achieve victory against the Republic and now he must suffer our wrath as plans are made to strike him at his island.
Our forces returned to the Swaggers naturally for more than a few well earned drinks and songs from Rimeny.
