Last Monday saw Vesper turn from an Empire back into a Republic with the elections for the position of Chancellor of the Republic whom will be head of the new leadership council of the Republic.
Four citizens of the Republic put themselves forward as candidates: Octiovus Von Richter of Cove, Theoden Westaman of Vesper, Billy Boots of Vesper and Esca Flowne of Vesper.
The election took place at the gypsy camp next to the Swaggers Inn and what a grand turn out it was! Folks from all over the republic gathered to cast their votes.
The election was one of the closest in the history of Vesper, with the top 3 candidates being just 1 vote apart from eachother!
The final results were as follows:
1st - Esca Flowne 13 votes
2nd - Theoden Westaman 12 Votes
3rd - Octiovus Von Richter 11 Votes
4th - Billy Boots 2 Votes
5th - Anna Goodward 1 Vote (Anna wasn't even running as a candidate though)
Escaflowne had won the position of Chancellor of Vesper! The Covians were not impressed and stormed off with claims of a rigged election. The remaining crowd celebrating but many are still wondering how Escaflowne is going to deal with now being Chancellor of the Republic and Commander of the Redguard, as they would mean he would hold 2 seats on the final Council of the Republic.
