[Discussion] Replica items?

Returning to game after 7 years away...I've seen many Replica items on various websites about the game. What are they replicas of (quest items, event items, original rares?) Are these replica items actually rare?

Replicas were introduced to combat duping. They are exact duplicates of various event items in every way but they include the "replica" tag. They were created by EA and are perfectly legal to own/use.

While they are not rare in the sense of the word this forum would view items, some of them do spawn at low rates and are considered rare by the overall UO community. Also many of them such as gladiators collar, mythical detective boots and the jade armband to name a few are quite desirable and often sell for anywhere from 10-50m depending on the item in question

Yes Replicas are Highly Saught after items these days.You can also still obtain them at champs.They Drop Like an Artifact directly in your pack and you can usually make a nice gwap when you get one.Only this about them I dont Like is they have Durability and you cannot use powder of fort on them.They all start with 150/150 but when it's gone you find yourself looking for a new one... .Hope this helps.
