Renaming a parrot

Can it be done? I have tried the suggested method in the CC of dragging its health bar and double clicking which did nothing and I went into the EC and tried the suggested method of "I wish to rename into (insert name here) and that did not work. Anything else or is it stuck as it?

I play CC and I drag bar single click then type new name

Is your bar yellow? My parrot's health bar is yellow. Maybe that has something to do with it? It was given to me in deed form.

Bar is always yellow. Single click. You double click when you're finished renaming. There also will be no indication you are changing the name other than when you single click and start typing.

Edit: just tried with mine and there is in fact a tiny line under the name when I go to rename. You have to click on one of the letters in the name itself or it won't work.

I am a real doofus tonight. It still didn't work and then it occurred to me that I placed it at a house I was co-owned to and not one I owned so I axed it, took it to my house, placed it and boom! I can name it. Wow! I can't believe I didn't realize that sooner.

hehhe thank you for that info here i got a few naughty named birds from a idoc crate and well... I refuse to put them up till i can fix their names...
