Release pet issue?

Is this designed to be a total pain in the ass?

I released a pet, now my character cannot insta log, when i log it back in, its in instant attack flee. EVERY time. Even after a long time out. It won't stop flee message, can't use soulstones!!

was it a negative karma pet? you may be better off finding it and killing it. The coding is there to sort of attach the released pet to the player for when people were taming monsters in trammel and releasing them near people, the owner was still responsible for the pets actions and would get guard wacked.
