Reindeer nose only blinking if facing south

So I was decorating today. When putting up my reindeer I noticed that the green blinking nose only flashes when it's facing south. When I turned it to get in the direction I wanted nothing. So I tried all other directions as well.

Anyone else have this issue?


ETA. It's the same thing on the sled. The lights only flash when facing south
