Regarding the mass talk of duping...

I was thinking , vendors now flag items that are duped don't they? Well, what if using a transfer token triggered the same thing and prevented you from jumping shards as long as you had the item in your bank, pack, etc?

While that is an interesting idea of preventing movement of suspected duped items ... the system has its flaws and is only for general use ... as it stands a good deal of duped item still make it on vendors and are sold.

The system was worth a try, but has utterly failed and done more damage than good, especially with transfers making vendorable items unvendorable.

And a lot of items that were never duped no longer go on vendors causing suspicion by buyers that they are dupes, as Norrington said, the lack of clarification / admission by the dev team that this system does NOT operate as advertised has certainly caused more harm than good through the community.

One thing that I did note early on is that it does seem to disallow tokens and certain other items purchased from 3rd party sites. I'm not saying that the change didn't serve a good purpose, but they shouldn't be standing behind it as an effective method to tell whether an item is duped, because that simply is not the case.

If the vendor flag worked properly then it would be a great idea.
