reforging.... is there really a firm list?

i was using the list i found here on stratics to tell me what sections would pay out what i needed.

list
go to the bottom of the list to the graph thing, thats what im talking about.

and ive been using the Exquisite/of Quality section, which SHOULD only be paying out Elemental Damage, Mage Weapon, Velocity (bows) if you go off the list compiled here on stratics.

but im getting EVERYTHING on mine. durability, velocity (on boomerangs!) INT, DEX, STR, spell channeling, self repair, lower req, hit fatige, hit lower D, hit lower Attack, LUCK??, chaos damage, life/stamina/mana leech, Hit Point Regen, HCI, DCI, SSI, mana drain, SLAYERS!!! mana regen, mana, stamina and HP increase...... EVERYTHING!

BUT, i havnt seen mage weapon on boomerangs yet.

so..... i guess im saying that the list isnt really the very accurate.
i think whats happening (man i hope i can explain this right) is that i think there are a couple things that it pays out in MORE like durability, lower req and velocity for the Exquisite/of Quality section, but then it adds more stuff onto it.

its like when you hit reforging it is allotted a number of points if can give ya.
so it will go into the tier 1 and roll the dice and give ya something from there.
if there is still points then you get a tier 2, if there is still points then onto tier 3.

anyone else notice this?

Much like you I was aiming at the elemental damage weapons and really thought to reforge is the holy grail....but alas the list is for sure not accurate and my results are much the same as yours....BUT the chance to get a pure non blocking sampie weapon through reforging is in my opinion bigger then through normal smithing.

Just read your other post on the boomerang and have to tell you that ALL my other 100% elemental damage, non blocking (i.e. no luck or mage weapon, no fc or other XXXX a sampie cant really use) weapons came either from dull copper or shadow runics :).

True sometimes it took a lot of charges to get the right damage type (spent like 100 DC hammer to get a 100% fire weapon, even if you only need 60% then enhance it with bronze) but that's the bloody RNG. Copper and bronze I more or less left laying around 'till reforging came out, because the chance to draw an useless mod was sooooooo much greater :)

I know I am going to spend a lot of time on TC to figure out what's the best way to reforge my woodland armor before going through the pain of collecting bark frag's, imbue regs, 100% forge tools and redoing my armor for the 3rd time....BUT which sampie can say no to 10 HCI on an armor piece :)

I've done a list for my UI in the latest patch, and I didn't get hit lower defense, spell channeling or chaos damage in all my tests :/
The stratics list is good enough for what I can see...

do remember that if you only pick ONE prefix/suffix, you'll get random properties as well.

If you don't take the option to pick 2 prefixes/suffixes (grand artifice), any properties generated past those from the one taken, are done randomly.
If you don't take ANY prefixes/suffixes, they all end up random.

Using Barbed kits, I typically get 4-6 properties, and I don't think I've seen more than half of them each come from a selected prefix/suffix. On rare occasions I even see 3 from one, 2 from the second, and the last totally out of the blue.

Hmmmmm

So I'm wondering now..... If u pick a prefix and suffix from groups that BOTH lean heavy into elemental damage, then that should double your chances of making a 100% weapon, no?

thought about that one too but you can only pick "quality" once...so what would be the other pick that would implement elemental damage? I think alot of testing still has to be done on that subject....
