REDS are Recalling into a Champ Spawn

Yes it actually happened! I wouldn't have believed it if I had seen/heard it myself! I was playing at the champ in lvl 3 Despise. It was just me and the freaking ghostcams. All of a sudden I hear the recall sound!?!? I was like, what the...then there is a red dude in front of me. I was in shock so he easily pwned me. Okay what do I? Who do I tell? I have no idea HOW he did it but he did do it! I would page a GM, but we know they're won't anwser. I could send a Bug report but how do I explain it??? Help!

Bracelets of binding don't work on my shard but could it possibly been that? I know when they did work on Siege one could use them in t2a.

Most likey recalled off a boat key in t2a or you were mistaken.

That might be it, he could be bound to one of the two ghostcams. All I can tell you is I heard recall sound and then red pk guy was infront of me. Still whatever it is, it needs to be investigated and fixed. IMHO it is blantant and flagrant cheating of the worst sort.

Binding braclets dont work in champ spawn area's... nor would a boat key work in dsp since there really is no boats in Despise lol.! fluke maybe, don't see how it woulda happend

There was a ship recall bug/exlpoit that I do not know if they ever fixed it entirely. every time one of the "elements needed" was fixed, another way was found. No details here, but devs were made aware of the bug years ago.

Yeah. I've seen them recall onto a boat too... Anyways; I could not recall myself into t2a....

Is this bug/exploit? or is there a legit trick?

Why don't they fix it, properly? Stuff like this really irritates me. Why not fix this stuff so honest people can enjoy the game. If things continue as they are (especially in pvp, Champ and fel in general) they'll have to rename the game "Ultima Cheaters Online" because(IMHO) the cheaters will be the only ones left.

I highly doubt that a red recalled in. Actually I think he logged his red off on the island (or where ever u were in despise) and turned on his ghost cam. We used to do that immediately after finishing a despise spawn...our whole guild would re-pop the spawn and log out. We'd log another char in and send a guy down to scout around...when things got all holed up for 3rd-4th level, we'd log our guys in that had logged out on the island and kill everyone...sometimes it worked, sometimes i really backfired...but it was hella fun! We even did it during a Harrower

Except the recall sound doesn't play when logging in.

An old guild we were allied with used the exploit often for spawn raids which helped us determine the alliance was bad for us and our rep.

ya know what though, i have noticed when using sparkles it sometimes plays the recall sound. that might have been the case...

Having seen a quite a bit of hacking myself, I accept that it's a distinct possiblity you saw exactly what you think you saw.

On a separate note, I wonder if recalls were brought back into Felucca, while that would be disastrous for powerscrolls, it would be interesting that it'll be likely to see many more 'Trammelite' pple start coming into Felucca more often.

They fixed the boat key recalling a long time ago. Is there a bell that makes the recall noise? If so maybe someone was invised, then revealed themselves and set the bell off.

I totally believe you. I have seen it myself. They recall in and out of places they shouldn't - including champ spawns.

On my shard there is some really blatant cheating, and some players are pretty open about it, admitting it, claiming the GM's won't do anything to them anway.

In addition to recalling in and out in restricted areas, I've seen players go through moongates as criminals. I've also been seeing some players getting umlimited special attacks on their weapons.

I just wish the non champ dungeons could allow recalling in and out heh. 'Twas a wee bit harsh that all my favourite spots were either turned into champs or made stupidly inaccessible lol.

Much as Fel is the main PvP area, I think the PvMers in Fel were very seriously done over with the champ spawns

Despise is the easiest spawn to get to, It's hard to understand someone actually risking that if there is even a way to currently do that when the could have taken the 20 seconds to run into fire.

Another maybe could be maybe they teleported onto the island?
