Red Healers in Fel

Should blue healers be taken from Fel and be replaced with red healers?

Lately, I have noticed a huge problem for red players in Felucca. It seems that red players have to travel rather far just to find a red healer. Why do blue healers even exist in Felucca when red healers resurrect both blue and red characters? It just seems logical there should either be more red healers or only red healers in Fel.
Thoughts?

Pop out at any moongate and there are red healers.

I've wondered this as well, and agree with you. On the same token, why are there red healer in all other facets? -minus ter mer anyhow

Pop out at any moongate and there are red healers.
Problem is that blues kill all the red healers near moongates. Of course, the same would be true even if more spawned nearby.

And in the way back machine when even less Rhealers and a long run to the Choas Shrine for e rez kill.

Then there is the Quest maps on red healers in fel that should be on the blues. Fel needs the Bizzaro universe with there mirrored Malas. Ilshenar and Ter Mur. Then those rewards earned on the fel side have other then normal art. Doom arty shield chaos not order, crown circlet not mask, Stam base CC or just new line of fel side arty & Marty. Breaks the PS grind only of fel.

Maybe after the banhammer is felt more and finally feared.

- There really ought to be some penalties and difficulties associated with randomly killing innocents.

- The old "I went red defending spawns" excuse no longer applies due to forged pardons, if you are red it's because you deliberately made that choice and you enjoy killing innocents, and lots of them.

- "Red healers" aren't "red healers", they are "Priests of Mondain". I know most dedicated pk's don't get that not everything in game has a specific purpose directly related to pvp, but it's true, there are an awful lot of things in game that are there just to add flavour and maintain a bit of the old "rp" in "mmorpg". So yes, "Priests of Mondain" belong in Trammel, and "Wandering Healers" belong in Felucca...

You are kidding your self if you think anyone in Fel is "inocent" Once you chose to got to fel, you chose to fight for what every it is thats taken you there.

The only "Inocent" people in the game have "Young" above there head and they cant go to fel, unless they renounces their "Inocents"

Nah, but as long as they aren't in town or a guardzone, the blue healers should heal everyone. This would basically eliminate the red healers roaming the world...la

Most of the hard core reds that I know, the ones with thousands of counts, that forged pardons won't help, have gotten that way in part by doing things like killing new blue characters that are just checking out the shard and the action at Yew to see if they are interested in transferring - over and over again.

So yes, there are innocents in Fel, that are there for legitimate reasons, and most of the hard core reds that I know of have killed plenty of them. So quite frankly, they deserve the difficulties that accompany their "red" status...

Oh yes let's punish people for enjoying PvP. It's not like reds already can't go to 4/5 facets, can't invoke virtues, can't be healed in guard zone, but by all means let's just pour on some more pointless penalties for reds.

That's funny, I enjoy pvp all the time. I probably have thousands of kills. I've never gone red once.

Not sure if you use the EC or not, but in the EC when you are a ghost healers are marked on your radar and are extremely easy to find.

Most of the time its fine.. but if I solo raid a spawn in deceit its a pain because there are literally no red healers on that island by the entrance.

Well something specific like that should be fixed. Submitting a bug report might be a good idea.

Not sure if you use the EC or not, but in the EC when you are a ghost healers are marked on your radar and are extremely easy to find.
That is a handy feature, but I just don't care for the EC, even though it is admittedly superior to the CC when it comes to a few features.

My point exactly. I find it hard to believe Llewen actually has opinions on subjects, he just takes the opposite stance of people he doesn't like.

Actually the characters I kill are orange to me. It has been a long time since I killed anyone that was red to me. And I don't believe I was "QQ'ing" about anything... :)

Now three to five years ago I mainly fought reds, so yes, there wouldn't have been much fun without them, and I do appreciate keeping my justice maxxed out. And as I already said, if there are places where it truly is difficult for reds to find a healer, such as that island Lynk mentioned, some should be added at those locations. But for the most part I see plenty of red healers around.

I'm a Fel resident. Four blues, one red. I think it's fine the way it is.

No, all healers should be the same, for that matter, they don't Heal squat, just a rez station. I want some in all dungeons.

And you are hilarious. I'm in factions. I used to play out of the guard zone years ago when no one was in factions. I pvp in Yew, because that's still the most consistent place to find pvp. I pvp in Despise, for similar reasons. For a while there factions was active on my shard, so I pvp'd while playing the game around sigils.

But I'm sure according to you the only "real" pvp is killing innocents that can't defend themselves. So according to you I'm not a real pvp'r. I guess I must be doing something right... :D

I absolutely love the little sets of rules and prejudices that people like you build up to make yourselves feel special.

Newsflash: that new player hiding in the guard zone that six of you managed to kill before he could yell "guards", assuming he even knew how to do that, he's just as "worthy" as you are. In fact, if I had to choose between you and him, I'd choose him. Just maybe I could have have some influence on him and prevent him from turning into an egotistical meat head...

I don't know what it's like on other shards, but I am a faction player on Pacific who sometimes plays with friends in other guilds, some of them blue and some of them red. When someone can't heal the other, they'll run to find a healer... and five minutes later they'll still be looking.
I'm blue, so finding healers is quite easy, but I've recently noticed it's difficult to find red healers and often times bodies will sometimes decay in that amount of time once you -do- find one.

People who play both sides of the fence get twice as many splinters.

I think the whole idea of red and blues and factions and all chars on same account must be same faction was meant to make it not so easy to do what you say you do: try to play all sides of the fence.

I don't pvp but I do read and not so long ago it was zomg! there's so many red healers everywhere we can't move because they are in the way! Take some away!

Now it's: There's not enough red healers!

(Strategy for blues to take them out so reds can't res easily is legit game play is it not?)

Sounds like having friends in UO is hard work!

I personally believe res and reenter is a bit problem because of LRC, bandage tallys, quivers, etc... I think there should be no healers period besides in several known remote locations. It should be a group dependent ability.

More team play less solo.

If you go to a spawn with a group of people not in factions and you're in factions, you're at a loss.
This is a problem for me.
My guild is a faction PVP guild, but we have a sampire guild as well for spawns. When one of the red faction players go into the spawn, they have to completely leave and find red healers, which often takes a long time.
This has really nothing to do with soloing, just in general it's a problem for a lot of red characters, and I just wondering what others thought about it.

Well, if you are in factions you have easy access to the most powerful items in the game. So I guess it's a trade off. Some things will be easier, some will be harder.

Another breakdown into a Tram vs. Fel thing. Nice.

Anyways, I voted yes. Why? Because it seems like a simple change that improves the playtime of one group of players without having absolutely any effect on any other player groups.

Why does it need to be more than that?

On the off chance that it is not a simple process to make the change, I would not support it because it is a minor issue and beneath many other changes/updates/fixes/additions we need.

I don't see that as much of a problem. I think it should be that way for both reds and blues. For your situation I would go with at least one other faction guild mate that can res. Otherwise that's the chance you take honestly. You should not be catered to.
